I went to the gym today, its one i went to years ago and when membership ran out i didnt go back, last Mon i joined on a 6 weeks for £30 offer at work to college staff. I went once last week as so busy at work Today i atcually enjoyed my workout it was a ladies only gym but they have opened a mens gym upstairs more light and spacious, ladies can use it too so i went there and did a better workout - seems more competative there, i might atcually manage 2 visits this week! even 3 Still cant see me spending £300 plus on joining again once 6 weeks is up

Alison do you have to pay all in one go if you join? I pay £44 a month which doesn't sound so bad as £528 a year I managed to beat my own running record today. I ran 2.2 km and that was excluding the 5 minute warm up and 5 min cool down

This thread is to inspire others as to what exercise you did on a certain day. It gives others ideas and pushes them forward to exercise theirselves, so come on, get posting! Well, I have not done it yet as its not time for my class, but later I will be training in martial arts for 2 hours. I aim to practice more in my own time between sessions though... I am trying to do this but struggling with motivation! - Its hard in winter !!! I thought last night - every day I don't train (even if its just 15mins stretching) is a day I take a step backwards... at the end of the week I want to see if in total I have gone backwards or forwards ... as in I have spent more day's NOT training, or more days training! Sounds a bit much i know, but its just a personal thing i think i need to do to stop me telling myself "I will start tomorrow, I ahve all the time in the world" -... setting small goals like improving a bit every week seems to help me... I hope!

I just did the usual walking and cycling to get from my house to the office and back. I live in Zutphen and I work in Apeldoorn. That is 26 km and I take the train to get from Z to A. I go to the railway station by bicycle. 15 minutes in the morning and 15 minutes in the evening. Each station gives me three stairs to climb or descend in order to get to the platform or to the bus station (in A), except on the way home, when the train to Z leaves from another platform that is near the busstation. My busstop is 15 minutes on foot away from my office. There is one almost around the corner, but it leaves the bus station later and I rather walk 15 minutes instead of waiting 15 minutes.

45 minutes of circuits class. This involves lots of different exercises - weights, cycling, running etc. You do one exercise for two minutes then move to the next. I would have gone for a swim afterwards but I'd forgotten my cossie.
