Those piccies are great Malckiera. Hope you have a great walk in Macclesfield Forest.
I'm still skating around 3 -5 times a week and just got my bike fixed after I broke the gear box the other week from overusing it I think!
Looking in to restarting my yoga and pilates classes after this bank holiday as am so bored of the gym and swimming and really enjoyed the yoga and pilates.

Gorgeous piccies indeed! Kiera looks like such a happybobby I have a bit of catchin up to do with my exercise log! Thursday - Rest Day. Lots of driving though, so tendons didn't get much resting. Friday - Quick CV session 30 mins on x-trainer, 10 mins on bike. Saturday Had the real privaledge of training with Jim Blanchflower today. It was possibly the single most useful technical session I have had since starting to powerlift properly. So much advice! Firstly did a bit of benching. Well, my benching has been going swimmingly lately what with all the 5x5 pb's etc, however, I found out how little this translates over to having to wait for a press command. Failed 42.5 kg three times (i'm not kidding unfortunately!!!). Essentially, i'm not bringing the bar far enough into my chest (my pause up to now has been with superlight contact only) to get it to stabilise quick enough. But at least now I know there is a problem and can work on it pretty quick. It's just a habit thing, i'm not too worried. I also need to practice maintaining tension (activating the tri's) at the bottom of the move, and bringing my grip out more. I'm going to be doing some super-wide assistance with fingers on the outside rings to start, as well as bringing my normal grip out a bit. My triceps are never going to be huge, so bringing the grip out will allow more focus on the chest (plus a decreased ROM). Also, must do more rotar cuff work....i'm probably going to incorporate them as a warm-up. Squats After an incredible amount of warm-up sets to get my stiff legs moving I worked up to a 75 kg squat PB (didn't know it till I had squatted it) which was easy and no where near my max (hopefully). Then got to do some band training. I'm planning to get some bands asap, as this will really help my slow-twitch muscles get some speed work! The aim will be working at 42.5 kg plus bands and aiming for an increase in speed through the move (rather than an increase in weight). I'll probably squat twice a week to incorporate this. I kind of got to thinking about doing the NW unequipped comp, but then realised I have a pretty big problem....no competition belt (they are all leather so I won't buy one of my own), and not alot of time to get used to one if I had one. So even if I got the membership sorted and a singlet, i'm still probably not going to be able to make it now. But that's fine, there is always next year anyway Sunday - Rest day Monday - Squat Day Ok, so you may ask, why bother going for 5x5 two days after doing a squat PB? Well, like I said, the PB wasn't a max, and I felt oky doky enough to go for it. Plus, I have a couple of site days this week, so fitting squatting in at any other point may be difficult (what with deadlifting, benching and thai boxing too). 10 mins CV Squats 20 kg: 3 40 kg: 3 50 kg: 2 60 kg: 3 70 kg: 5x5! Nice ;D New PB! A few were high, but on the whole the depth was there Chins - finally finally got 5x5 on these too. So will be trying weighted ones now Ab pull downs 35 kg: 5 35 kg + 7.5 lb: 5, 5, 5 Eek Bit hard today Tried rowing, but tendons too painful after squats and chins. CV - 20 mins Tuesday - Rest day - superdooper sore today!

Ok, so you may ask, why bother going for 5x5 two days after doing a squat PB? It was on my mind, has to be said, so I'm glad you answered that question Me n Mal went to Macc Forest on Monday. The weather wasn't great, but Mal's not really bothered by that. Here's the man happily trotting up the path: He loves walking on the moors: Back at the car we were a bit soaked, but fortunately I've got a doggie 'bath robe' so wrapped up in that Mal was all warm and dry by the time we got home: All in all probably walked about 4 miles, a nice gentle little stroll after Saturday's expedition, from which I've only just now recovered! Went to the gym yesterday, not really sure what to do as my shoulders had both been playing up and my quads were still a bit sore. Found that I was just in time for this hiphop class - I like dancing and I like hiphop, so thought I'd give that a try, and it was great fun! After that there happened to be a body combat class, which I stayed around for as well, so did 2 classes yesterday and really enjoyed them

Today - bench day. Felt pretty good when I went in, but my stamina died pretty quick. It may have been a bad day, but I was still pleased to get the amount of reps I did with 42.5 kg, especially when I only managed doubles with it on the 1st of March. Thank goodness 5x5 is over! Onwards and upwards to heavy singles and 3x3 (or maybe 5x3, have yet to decide) Bench 20 kg and 30 kg warm-ups 35 kg: 3 40 kg: 1 42.5 kg: 5, 5, 4, 3, 2 (nothing left!) Bench wide grip assistance 20 kg: 7, pain in my right shoulder was pretty bad 20 kg: played with grip spacing for ages, but all wide grips hurt 20 kg: 10 - delt with the pain....i'm wondering whether it will ease off if i do this regularly, or whether I am never going to be able to bring my grip out I'll keep with the 20 kg until either i get no pain, or the pain gets too bad and I have to stop. Shoulder press: 12.5 kg: 5, 5, 4 (took it nice and easy on these) 30 mins hard CV Rotar cuffs 2 kg: 30, 30 1 kg: 30 burntastic

Went to the same GCamp class as LGB, after just as long a break. Really liked today's class, most combos felt pretty good. And the bestest thing was I finally got a couple of flying knees right!!! ;D ;D ;D I's a happy bunny today!!! ;D ;D

Another GCamp class today, didn't feel as good as yesterday tho Some things went alright, I think I got my punching combo reasonably sorted. Side and back kick were okay, but flying kick was still rubbish. And I just can't seem to get this pivoting on my right foot sorted Left quad still hurts, has not been without pain since last Saturday, but then I've been to the gym on Tuesday, when it was still sore, and thai boxing yesterday, when it hadn't got much better either, so I might just be asking for it Maybe I'll give body combat a miss tomorrow morning and just do weights. The weather's apparently gonna be great over the weekend, so I'd rather drag my gammy leg round outside on a walk with the dogs than hopping about inside a gym

I actually did some exercise today ;D I went on my bike to Wollaton Park, cycled round it a bit (stopping to take photies obviously) and then cycled back. Not very far I'll grant you but if you look at my bike its a bit of a tank and its hard work (got the excuses ready). Its a start, now the weather's picking up a bit I really need to get on with doing some cycling cos its the only exercise I actually vaguely enjoy. Got to get my proper bikes sorted out though. Here's a pic of the speed king that carried me to my destination today

I can't ride a bike . I also can't swim. I also can't afford to buy a bike, a swimming suit, trips to the swimming pool or a decent pair of trainers or walking boots . *Wonders what options she has left exercise wise*.

Just been to the gym for the first time in a month. I really must re-prioritise my daily tasks as a workout makes me feel so much better. I'm really annoyed with myself for leaving it that long especially as I'm paying £42 a month.
Anyway I did some weights, 10 minutes running, 10 minutes on the rowing machine and half an hour swimming *is proud and full of renewed intention*

Im cancelling my membership to the gym. Neither of us are going at the moment. We much prefer cycling or walking at the weekends. Ive pinched some weights from my old house, so we can do some weight training during the week.

I've come into this thread in the hope that I'll shame myself into actually going to the gym in the morning. I haven't been for a week
