Take a moment to inspire others with what your workout consists of, or what you did today. Whether its a stroll in the park or a full blown marathon, we wanna know!

I normally although have been a bit lazy the last few weeks go to the gym a few times a week. I do cardio, yoga and swimming mainly. I like yoga because it strengthens you in so many ways, both body and mind and is soooooo good for your health. I also enjoy going for walks by the river with the dogs.

I'm a bodybuilder, but I've done a bunch of sports in the past. My favorite are basketball, soccer and running. But for now it is bodybuilding. I'll post some pics sometime soon. -Robert Cheeke

;D ah, it's you ! Ever since Richard was talking about one of the topics at VeganBodyBuilding with me, I've been sporadically lurking because it's one niiiice forum IMO. Listen to this dude folks, he's totally fit (so clearly knows a lot abotu fitness from experience), and gives great advice ROCK ON ! As for me, ah well I have an energy-sapping condition so I can;t do much in the way of energetic workouts..... although I do enjoy strolling in the gor-geous countryside where I live, especially when the weather is nice, and I do Qi Gong from time to time as a gentle set of nice soothing excercises. Once I'm healthy again in the distant future, one of the first things i plan to do is get some majorly kickass roller-blades, and sign up for some trampolining classes. I took trampolining short-courses a few times when i was at school and they were excellent fun and really invigorating. I took a couple of bodybuilding short-courses when i was at school, and convinced my friend Marian to do some too (it wasn;t hard, she was quite up for the idea once i suggested it to her). Everybody else in the class acted like we had 3 heads since there were, like 15 people doing it or something and everyone apart from us were guys, but it was pretty enjoyable, it just felt really nice I reckon. Perhaps if I were healthy and it still felt good to do that I might do it sometimes, because it would be good to build up a bit of strength and stuff. I've had this unfortunate health-depleted condition for years now and so I'm so concious of what it's like to be feeble... and imagine that being strong would be like the opposite in comparison to feeling "normal" strengthed. Anyway, its great to see you here Robert. Earlier on I thought about PMing and request-friend-adding you at MySpace but then i thought "but wait - he doesn't even know me or anything "

I am a gym instructor, but if I am going to train, I will usually do 40 mins cv, then train my shoulders, back, legs and stomach on one day, then the next my triceps, biceps and chest on the next. I love swimming but havent been for ages. If Im going to go I will mix the strokes. I find breast stroke very easy, so that is my warm up - probably 5 lengths, then I will do 5 lengths crawl, 1 length breast stroke until I get up to about 70 lengths, then cool down with 5 lengths breast stroke. I also enjoy a class called Body Pump which is weights to music.

I have exercised regularly since about the age of 15. I feel uncomfortable if I go too long without doing some. I exercise 5 days a week, mostly cardiovascular types. I also do weight training. I aim to train the various body parts every four or five days. I need the long rest because I use heavy weights that only allow about 5 repetitions in each set. I haven't been able to stick to this schedule, though, because of various circumstances. I am currently nursing a painful shoulder and arm. but I don't know what caused it. I now also have pains under my shoulder blade. Perhaps I slept awkwardly.
I think it's important for those of us who can, to be fitter and stronger than the ordinary meathead. Just to show them what a vegan can be like.
I don't take part in any sports but I used to box, row and scull. My aim is to be as strong as Paul Anderson, but I might not manage it. I can but try, though.

cool would like to go to the gym that often but my shifts get in the way but i do like to go as much as i can the womble is no longer a pie muncher Gym? What gym? I exercise at home. I couldn't be bothered going to a gym. That would quadruple the time for the exercises, with the travelling, etc. My left wrist was quite painful this morning and my back was more painful than it had been the day before. I suspect that there is pressure on a nerve somewhere in my upper back. I damaged it a few years ago and for months afterwards I had pains in various places, such as the neck, shoulder and shoulder blade. I sometimes had pins and needles and weakness in my left hand. I decided to exercise today in the belief that it might loosen something. I did hack squats, where the barbell is held behind the legs. This put a lot of pressure on my arms. My wrist and back felt better afterwards. My wrist still feels beter than it did before the exercise.

The gym is my second home. I wish I could buy it off my boss, he is hopeless. I could make it much better. It is getting very run down. Machines have all seen better days. I would live upstairs with the cat and work in the gym by day. You can all visit me on Thursdays at 2.15 when I shall be accepting visitors. Please bring cake.

I did my upper body weight training yesterday and everything felt all right. Whatever was causing me pain a few days ago seems to have gone away.

I'm not the most fittest of people, I admit. I used to play football a lot with my dad, and bike ride a lot, but now I'm rather lazy. Mind you. Our college is probably about a mile from each end, so I guess I do walk a lot.
