My partner is Tabitha We were both (unhappily) married to omnis when we met. I did have real problems with living with an omni - but there were other problems that were the real reason behind me leaving her. However I don't think I could ever live with an omni again. There is no need to eat animal products to survive and thrive. Omnis often say that they like meat or cheese or whatever too much to give it up. If they understand all the issues of how animals are treated, then the problem is that they are causing animals horrendous suffering and death simply for their pleasure.

I definitely couldnt live with a meat eater again. I like the fact that everything in our cupboards is completely vegan. Pob is a very inspiring person to live with (although he doesnt half moan about me leaving the cupboard doors open ) and we have since given up eating palm oil and he tells me about companies to avoid as Im not very well up on that sort of thing.

I met my now partenr about 4m ago and he was about 85% vegan and now is 100% vegan. He wears vegetarian shoes and belts aswell , buys BUAV approved washing stuff etc etc. It didn't take much more training him up just a few bits here and there that needed fixing lol

i would count myself as single at the moment, well i live on my own anyway ;D but i have lived in a vegan only house for over 9years and it would take someone very very special to change that, in fact I am not sure I could have animal products in the house even if my partner was not vegan, it makes me too angry having had recent relations with meatys I am now pretty much convinced i would not be able to have a relationship with a meaty ever again. I think once you have been in a vegan relationship you will never go back to an omni one. btw, i didn't actually vote in the poll.

That's not the case at all, Mystical Witch! All vegans are welcome here - it's no slight on you that your partner is an omni. We all know what it's like to get omni propaganda 24x7 from the TV, newspapers, work colleagues, friends and maybe omni partners, etc. This site is a nice safe space away from that, where people don't give you a hard time about being vegan.

No partner here - I've been single for over a decade I have one veggie daughter and an omni son, although he mostly eats vegan food. I don't enquire what he eats when he goes to Grandma's.

hi Mystical witch!
My husband eats meat too, and so does our daughter, but seeing as I do most of the cooking in the house I try to make really tasty vegan meals so he wont miss the meat. I have also refused to buy or cook meat, but I still wish he would go vegan... I'm working on it! ;D
Love sarah xxx

I tried broadening my options by considering dating omni men but I've realised now I only want a vegan man. I bought a new fridge recently and its only ever had vegan food inside. I couldn't even bear the idea of someone putting dairy products in it, it would feel tainted. If I can't find my vegan soulmate I'll stay single thank you.

I don't think I could date an omni now, although starting a relationship with an omni after going vegan is quite a different matter from continuing a relationship that already existed before becoming vegan. Nobody should have to feel bad about their partner's choices.

Aw shucks. *blushes* I think you're lovely too, and it was fun talking to you. It was more like chatting to an old friend than a new acquaintance. As for being single, I like it that way. I need my own space, and I don't get much of it sharing a house with my two teenagers.

I have just bought a complete new kitchen ( I will post a photo when the tiles are finished) and it does feel good I am single and can't see much chance of finding a vegan partner at my age (51) but I definitely not tempted by non veggies.
