my husband is omni and is very worried about my vegan ways, he thinks I am going to drop dead any moment. I keep telling him, nope I am still alive. We don't actually live in the same house, so it is easier to keep my house veggie. My sons are omni but don't bring meat into the house but they do buy cheese and goats milk. I try to be mellow about it, softly, softly catchy monkey. They all love my vegan chocolate though.

Vegan now ;D But he was an omni when I met him. I guess I knew at the start he was an animal lover, so there may be a chance to convert, but it was hard to cope with being around meat and dairy. I would still say not to rule out all omnis, some of them are good people, they just need to be exposed to veganism in the right way

My partner is vegan - but if he hadn't been when i met him and got to know him better, then he would be a completely different person and so much less than he is, I think. If he had been non-vegan & had stubbornly wished to remain non-vegan, not even being prepared to cut down on flesh and/or body fluid consumption even gradually, then he would be clearly demonstrating his priorities to me, in doing so - valuing his own selfish pleasure and convenience above decency, compassion, morality, ethics or respect for others or life..... and that really aint hot, to me..... utterly not the stuff which romance is made of.

Totally agree Astrocat I haven't voted it the poll as I'm still single and looking, although somewhat halfheartedly at the moment as I can't really be bothered Would be nice if some wonderful vegan guy who's looking could find me ;D

My husband is an omni, but eats mostly vegetarian at home. He does not mind eating vegan food either. He just does not like soy milk. He says he completely understands and supports my decision to go vegan after seven years of vegetarianism, but admits that he is too much a coward to go vegan or vegetarian all the way, which means eating vegetarian outside the home as well. It is give and take, I suppose. Every little step is one and I am glad that he does not make a fuss anymore about finding tofu cubes in his fried noodles.
