BTW Maths is my weakest subject, always has been. I started a OU science course last year as I love science but had to stop it because of the maths. I tried doing a maths course but gave it up as it was like a foreign language.

I dont know what I want to do really Tails. I have just completed NVQ 2 in Care and want to go on to 3. The jobs I have applied for so far have been Care in the Community - this is caring for all sorts of vulnerable people and some children would be involved. I have also applied for a job in a very posh retirement village. It is beautiful! Im hoping I get that one to be honest. There are a lot of care jobs about round here.
Re: the maths. I must book up another lesson. Pob has tried to teach me and he is very patient, but Im so conscious of how thick I am, its a bit embarrassing. I would rather be taught be someone I dont know. I would be so pleased if I could get GCSE maths!
We are still considering fostering/adoption, but with all the wedding arrangements, we havent got round to filling all the forms in yet.

hi all, long time since my last post eh ? been having a lot of sh'tuff goin' on, some health & psych-emo troubles, neighborhood issues, bad sleep for 9 months have all exhausted me so much that I needed to go to bed quite early.. we are looking into moving out, AGAIN, just over a year in this place & it's not really improving, in spite of the occasional silent week...
Increasing pressure to find a job for next april, once my current contract ends, so started looking for solutions, but ain't being really helped, so that added to my depression & loss of motivation...
as I said, a lot !
things, however, should improve some, as we may move very soon, to a much quieter area, this time with a balcony even, and thus help reduce the electricity bill, and have some extra space ! we got too many things, so have to resume sorting & then selling them...
So, i'm kinda back, till we move & disappear for a few weeks... cheers

Thanks everyone!
The "are you mad tests" are great fun are they not? Mine honestly started with "Tell me about your childhood"... Erm.... much harder to answer than it sounds!
Most people tell me they hate maths/couldn't do it! I think it was bad teaching. I'm trying not to scare people too much. Nice to hear someone who liked it!! woohoo! Happy days!
Will post more later, am supposed to be going shopping!

Of course when I was at school it was pre decimal!!.
Maths I have always struggled with and during my nursing career, it became easier when we were allowed to use calculators!. For many years we didnt!.
I tell you try working out paediatric calculations with out calculators were very difficult at times.

We had Spawn and his girlfriend round this weekend. They both looked very thin and poorly. They seem to continually have colds. They were both freezing when they got here, so we had the heating on full blast and they cuddled up in a blanket to get warm. My other son Scott went to a concert last week and passed out. He said he had felt fine, then went very dizzy, couldnt see and the next thing he knew he woke up in the corridor with a big gash on his head that he had to casualty to get glued. He didnt get out of casualty til 5 am, then he went to work!!! Its better when they are Puffins childrens age, you can "make" them do things. I feel very helpless with them at 18 and 21.
