My new laptop has arrived!!! I spilt wine on the last one We are having the conservatory knocked down today, which means the cats have no access to the catrun. They are not happy. Im keeping an eye on Patrick's tail, because he keeps wandering around quivering it at cupboard doors and corners. This generally means he is up to no good How is everyone? I have finally eaten all the wedding leftovers. I had to fight Pob for the last muffin. I won though

I dont know if I ever told you that I never really understood maths. It has always scared me. I never took GCSE. I knew I would fail miserably, so I never went to the exam. I went into an Adult Literacy place a few weeks ago and did the test (felt a right moron), but they are going to help me so that I can (eventually) do my GCSE in maths. I am missing the basics really. I dont understand decimal points, fractions, long division, subtraction. Well, to be fair, I dont understand any of it. The lady was very sweet. To make me feel better, she told me I had a good understanding of the 24 hour clock I didnt have the heart to tell her I have to add up on my fingers if someone says 17.20.......

Thats absolutely wonderful by the way! being a maths teacher. I am in total awe of anyone who can understand figures. This is why I bow down to Pob most nights.....

Fingers are the basis of all good mathematicians. I always cheat if I can't think of an answer and ask the kids "Well, what do you think?"... Then I count on my toes, in secret, in my shoes.

They are darlings though....
I am still going t court with my ex nutter. All good fun. I have almost proven he's mad. And nearly passed the "are you mad?" tests myself! yay!

And nearly passed the "are you mad?" tests myself! I recently passed the 'are you mad' test. Literally. Had to go down the social for it and everything. I got a copy of the report and the quack wrote in it that I "go to local shop to buy bread, milk and alcohol most days". There's a small clue in there that suggests that he made that up...

Tabitha, if you like babies so much why dont you train as a nurse and work in SCBU . I worked for 28 yrs nursing and 23 of those in paediatrics and I loved working in SCBU with those little premmie babies.
When I retired from he NHS I did miss the babies.
