Not a rant atm, just really sad, Andrew's auntie died this morning.
I'm worried about being able to get to see MIL & get to the funeral as I'm quite poorly atm. Her 'husband' (we'll use the term loosely) is a complete sh*t so I'm sure this will turn into a rant before the week's out.

Thanks sluggie, squirrel & tabs *hugs you all*
I've deleted my rant thread as I don't feel the need to keep it up there. Am feelin a bit better today. Andrew spent a while with his mum earlier & she seems to be baring up well. Think she's keeping busy helping his cousin sort her house out for the wake.

Oh dear I've been banned from another forum. Mind you thats only 2 which I don't think is bad considering what a cantankerous old git I am. This time its the forum for 'Amateur Photography' magazine. I joined in with a discussion about animal testing which was very civil and reasonable on both sides I have to say. Until it was trolled by some goon who said he saw no problem with testing on animals because they were lower in the food chain and he would also be happy with testing on life prisoners too. Anyway, link here for you to have a giggle at. And I don't want to hear of anybody joining up with the forum and spamming them. No, that would be norty ;D

first rant post in months... a few days ago, I ordered a CD I had been looking to find for several years. It was supposed to be a limited edition in excellent condition. I was so happy to have finally found it online ! Then, I received it and what a mighty fall ! it was the normal edition, meaning that the cd with 6 extra songs wasn't included AND it wasn't in excellent condition ! I paid nearly 17 € for it when I could have gotten this normal edition for 3!!!
Today I sent it back to the seller and that cost me 6 €... I'm supposed to be refunded for the cdn, and part or all of my shipping expanses, as I emailed the website to complain and they "exceptionally" accepted my plea to refund these on a flat rate basis... I hope they'll refund all, becase so far I have paid 22,76 € and I'm AMPTY HANDED... It's the second time this has happened to me on that website... last year, I had to keep the faulty item as it'd have been more expensive to send it back... so, I'm done with this website grrrrr not gonna be their client anymore, and i'll report their practice of letting people lie on the nature of items and then expect buyers to pay for it ! enough is enough

That is infuriating Wabbit! The same sort of thing has happened to my children when they've ordered stuff over the internet..............it's very annoying!

it is indeed... i very rarely have problems with online orders, but most are on renouned merchants, such as the amazon's and usually I just get their own products, keeping most of my second hand shoppign to stores in town, but sometimes I do find items online & so far, this is the second and worst annoyance... the website's policy in this case that the buyer requests a reduction from the seller (which so far has been denied on both occasions, from 2 different sellers!) and the other option is to send the item back, and pay for it ! Here, I emailed the website's ppl and told them how angry I was and they said ok we'll pay it back, on a flat rate basis, as I said previously...
