I like Alpro. I don't usually like unsweetened soya milk, it tastes too beany for me, but I like Alpro Light Unsweetened, although for some reason I'm not keen on the sweetened Alpro Light .

I'd second Alpro as being the best all round, it makes nice Green and Blacks cocoa anyway. Despite 15 years of veganism I still can't drink soya milk on its own.
Its not actually a soya milk but I found Rice Dream the only one I could stomach drinking straight. However it failed the cocoa test cos it was a bit thin and watery.

Co-op's own brand organic soya milk is good. It tastes very like the Alpro organic one, but is cheaper.

I drink blue Alpro (I think that's the slightly sweetened variant, I'm not sure though. You probably know what I'm talking about *grins). More accurately though, I *use* Alpro on things like cereal and in cooking. It's too beany to drink, in my opinion. There are some occasions when I treat myself to a chocolate soy milk, but I don't remember the brand.
~ Eschar Blacke, who also likes the taste of vanilla soy milk.

I used Alpro before the rebrand a few years back but switched to Holland & Barrett . Tried the Tesco several years ago because it was cheap but didn't like it but maybe it's better now.

I think Tesco soya milk has got better recently. I buy that when I run out of organic Alpro which I have to travel 8 miles for.

Emsli the rice milk is good in hot drinks because it doesn't curdle. A woman at the vegan fayre was telling us that you should only drink organic soya milk because it's the only one you can be sure is from sustainable sources. Does anyone know if the non organic alpro is from a sustainable souce? Looks like they are www.alprosoya.co.uk/alpro/UK_en/believe/nature_roots_future/index.html

Does anyone know if the non organic alpro is from a sustainable souce? I'd be more worried about the effects of drinking soya milk made from GM soya, which it usually is if its not organic. Emsii I wouldn't bother with Alpro light. IMO it tastes like a watered down version of the normal one.

Many brands say they don't use GM beans. Alpro certainly say they don't.

Many brands say they don't use GM beans. Alpro certainly say they don't. Oh right, is that on their website? Do you know which other brands don't? Because I consume a lot of soya this is something that worries me.

Tesco, Sainsbury, ASDA, Waitrose, Iceland, Marks and Spencer say they have removed GM from all own brand products, so they should be OK.
Granose say this - I think this is probably the situation for all soya, actually:

So Good from the fridge is the only one I can drink straight, and actually enjoy! I can deal with the blue Alpro on cereal, and if I need soya milk for cooking I take the cheapest one available - coz I is cheap like that!

I really like Alpro orginal. Great on cereal but yuk in tea. Thats all soya me thinks. I like the chocolate as well. Tesco seems to get a good write up. Which one do you all like regarding packaging, chilled or long life and price....
