We have long life stuff just for convenience really. Its usually Alpro, but if we cant get the one we want we just get Sainsburys own brand I think. Packaging - erm.....not bothered really

Asda have started doing an own brand organic sweetened soya for 64p. I buy that now. I'm not normally concerned about packaging but this one features a box of shopping containing only eggs, cheese, meat and milk. I find this entirely innappropriate and offensive and intend to complain about it

Youre right Maisie, that is inappropriate. How ridiculous!

I tend to live off the co-op own make stuff as my office is two doors down from a co-op, I really like it, and it's cheaper than the main brand milks as well. Not really a fan of the Alpro Sweetened, but love the non-sweetened. So Good is, well, so very good, probably the best I've tasted, slightly more expensive than most though.

Each time I have been to Worcester recently I have bought some of the flavoured Alpro lunchbox type cartons from Holland & Barrett, lovely stuff! I'm all about the banana myself

They're both good. I use the chocolate flavoured one to make porridge with.

The problem with soya milk is when it separates when you put it in your coffee- unless you wait til the coffee is pretty much cold (yuch) it looks like the milk's off. I'm trying to convert my boyfriend to veganism who is a coffee addict. Think the low fat varieties work better but the So Good one is brown (and no that's not the chocolate variety!- a tad offputting). So any suggestions on what works well in coffee?

It doesnt always separate. It seems to have a mind of its own though.!!! I just put the coffee powder in, then the milk and then the hot water. That works sometimes. There is some really nice hazlenut milk. I cant remember who does it, that never seems to curdle and it tastes really gorgeous.

Add plenty of milk to the coffee, the water for coffee is meant to be a few degrees cooler than water for tea. 95-98 degrees.

I add water to the coffee powder - don't make it too strong. Then I leave it to cool for about 1 minute, then start stirring it vigorously and slowly trickle the soya milk in. We use regular Alpro unsweetened.
That always seems to work for me.

I like the Alpro Light sweetened one for cereal & tea etc. Morrison's own and Holland & Barrett's own are not bad either.

I love the Alpro chocolate soya milk. ;D I always end up drinking it way too quickly though. My bloke and I are exactly the same with Alpro a drink lol. We've just bought So Good original soya milk, it's gorgeous. Just has a small glass of it and my bloke said it reminded him Mr Whippys when he was a child lol ( not vegan friendly I know but still I thought it was funny lol) We bought the fat free So good soya milk one which we'll try soon.

My mum bought me some chocolate oatly ? I think that's what it's called and it is YUMM!!! I tried the chocolate so good and that was hideous. The chocolate & strawberry alpro ones are not bad as well.

The chocolate oatly is sadly not vegan - it contains vitamin D3 from sheep's wool.
There is an organic version without the vitamins which is vegan, but I don't think it's sold in the UK.
