Hi all,
Took me a weekl to decide what to share in the introduce yourself section here... Well, as you might have seen in other sections, i tend to send extensive messages, so here is one such a message.. LOL... hoep am not saying too much LOL
I’m very happilly married & love my VEGAN wife, so generous & supportive, compassionate & attentive... wtih so many more adjectives...she’s my STAR & Anchor. We’re there for each other !
I'v been a member in this forum for a week now. I had been a member of a couple veg forums in yahoo but didn't partcipate much as it took me a while to thaw...
One of my biggest passions is astrology & am a member on 2 forums in this subject.
Am a perpetual student of life, learning & seeking knowledge to better myself & to be able to help others more efficiently.
I'v been into alternative medicines in general for many years, especially herbal medicine, but also, colour therapy - which I'v learned more about last year.
Other topics include Aromatherapy ; Chakras ; Reiki* ; gemstones; spirit guides & gardian angels * ; tai chi *, Qi gong ( a friend taught me a bit) & martial arts (around March 20 every year, there's a martial art exhibition in Paris & is shown live on a french tv chanel).
(The * stands for themes I don’t know much about & started getting books to learn.)
In recent research, I'v come to a conclusion that I'd like to learn a bit more about Wicca.
Am spiritual but not religious.
If I started naming all the tv shows, movies & musical tastes of mine, I'd use long pages LOL ....So, among my favorites, SciFi in general, including the Star Trek universe (minus those Klingons ! ), Buck Rogers, Sliders... but also classic ‘old’ movies, dramas, comedies...
Depeche Mode, Genesis, Erasure, Moby, Bryan Adams... but not just po & rock, classical too, like Beethoven & many others... .the list as I said, is huge...
I also love walking but my low arches are making things complicated.. my supports should help, can't wait to get them !
Forests, flowers, colours, beautiful landscapes, travels of the body & the mind... Imagination, fastasy, fairies... creativity, art...
Writing, can you tell ? LOL well I also wrote some poems, drawing – so far on softwares but intend to expand to the paper & crayons form...
Oh my, I better stop LOL writing my biography here haha well have a good reading

Um, I just read something disturbing... It'd seem the french gvt made wicca to be seen as a CULT... I don't get it as it never seemed negative but they call it a religion & allt that... UMMM will have to look into it, but for the record & so I don't get in trouble, AM NOT A WICCAN but wanted to learn about it, nothing more.

Hi wabbit, thanks for introducing yourself!
You've got quite a few interests, so I'm sure you'll have loads to participate to the forum, if you want any tips on Reiki, as I mentioned before I'm on the way to being a Reiki Master myself so give me a shout.
I don't think I've said it before, but welcome to the forum.

Thanx dears Tigs & Tab,
I like it here, so cozy, I Feel quite at home. I have many more interests so if I see any reason to me,tion anything in these themes, I shall.
Tigs, you did welcome me but not with this specific wording. You did it through our nice chats. Thanx again.
The dictionary term Wicca gives : a religious practice involving nature-worship and witchcraft.
I feel as if every single esoteric or new way of thinking is labeled as a religion or a cult... So, am being very cautious about my announcements & say that Iwant to learn about it, not that I am a wiccan coz that could get me in trouble.
Tab, my wife is indeed a vegan altho not as long as myself. She's my star & actually, our song is named Star, by Reamonn. She's also my anchor & we help each other through on every step of the way. Contrary to others, I don't feel being married equals to shakels but to freedom, espeically with her, who's so gentle, attentive, generous, oh so many more adjectives come to mind....

Hello Fauxmage (am in the room if you want to chat) Sorry I missed you. I always forget about chat rooms, and when I think of checking them, they are usually empty!

Veganwabbit - in my emotional state at the moment - your beautiful words about your wife made me cry. I hope you show her what you wrote. When I get out of this silly mood my marriage will get back on track I hope.

Hi Fauxmage
LoL just like the dyas of yahoo vegroom, I tend to stay alone in ours here for hours alone... we should let each other know as much as possible & maybe take appointments LOL
Tab, Am sorry that your marriage has difficulties & that my words made you cry. I hope things will improve soon. If you need an ear or advice from an astrological point of view, we can chat about it, I always offer my help to the best of my abilities.
I'll show my wife what I wrote when she can get up & come to the PC as she was sick last night & still is. Going to take care of her & make her some yumi veggies & fruits & herbal teas.
TTYL both & take care

Hello everyone! I came here through Tiggerwoos link on another forum. About me..... I am new to veganism and still making mistakes . I got interested in veganism after falling deeply in lust with a vegan bloke I went to uni with. I started by thinking it was insanity personified and then after reading all about it, thought it made perfect sense. My family and friends think I am mad for doing it, but there we go. I have three children who are virtually vegan and beautiful . I am a single mother battling with a psycho ex boyfriend and doing a PhD in applied maths (Moving Frames and Differential Equations, if anyone cares ). I love music, especially rock and harbour a secret ambition to marry Jon Bon Jovi. Ermmmmm that is about it for now... nice to "meet" you all

Hi Bunny
Great to see you here. Welcome to the forum.
Everyone makes mistakes with veganism, thats the brilliant thing about these forums....... you get to know where you've gone wrong. I know I've sometimes accidentally eaten something and then found out........ whoops shouldn't have done that, so you can learn here.
Brilliant to hear your kids are vegan too, sorry to hear about the boyfriend probs.
Good luck with the maths...... Maybe you can try Squirrel's sudoku probs in the games section.
Have fun in this mad house!
Clare

welcome bunny
I join Clare & Bobby congratulating you but am not an official person just a fellow vegan & forum member.
We all make mistakes with any new situation & experience. Veganism isn't different in this regard. I'v also made some mistakes that took me months to find about & rectify. Never waver your courage to pursue this change for which I congratulate you. Many don't even change when they do know about it, so you have to be proud of yourself & not be harsh to yourself.
Sorry to hear about your troubles with the ex bf, hope all will be better soon.
These maths parts sounds interesting yet brainy LOL as Bobby said, better you than us LOL
WIsh you to have fun posting in here & never hesitate to ask questions, we're all here to help one another in vegan solidarity.
LoL Clare, mad house, funny expression
