Hi Friend in the West Midlands (Wolverhampton) is taking in a rescue rabbit tonight. No details as yet, but another lady had heard of this rabbit who was in desperate need of rescuing. Friends are looking for a forever home for this bunny or a rescue who can re home him/her. If anyone can help or knows of a rescue in the Midlands please let me know. Will post more details as i get them and hopefully a photo. Thanks Alison

Have had more details from my friend about the bunny who arrived last night:
"He is actually a she - the previous owners didn't even get that right. She is quite small, and rather timid. She seems underfed, but otherwise healthy - though they haven't changed her hay often enough, and as a result her legs are yellow with urine, and her vulva is swollen. Under the circumstances we are keeping her a while to get over the trauma and put a bit of weight on before she goes on another long trip. She is very scared of me, but loves my son, so I can only assume that it was adults who were impatient and abusive with her. She eats out of my sons hand, and flinches when I come near her. However, she is behaving more like a bunnyrabbit now, though she isn't strong enough to hop a lot yet. She has been eating, sleeping, lying in the sun today. And is now tucked into a warm hutch kicking her back legs in her sleep."
Id mentioned a rescue near to Redditch that rehomes guineas that was on the list, thanks for link...
Will keep you posted, friends very experienced in looking after ill rescue animals.

Any news on how the poor bun is now Alison?
Used to do a bit of voluntary work till recently for a bunny rescue myself, so have seen some pretty bad cases myself.
Hope she's on the mend now.

Benjy has been so grumpy since he had the snip at the start of the year.
Don't think he's ever forgiven me for it!
