Hi All, ;D I am new here and was wondering what people thought about using Beeswax lip balms. Having spoken to many vegans over recent years it seems that many are willing to make concessions in order to be able to use a beeswax lip balm, even though many werent too comfortable doing so. Others just use Vaseline to avoid the beeswax but many are becoming aware of the problems with using Petroleum based skin care products. In case anyone is wondering I do have a vested interest as I produce a range of 100% Vegan, Toxin Free, Hemp Based skin care products and was interested in how easy it is to find suitable alternatives as far as Vegan skin care is concerned. Happy to be here among like minded friends.

You can get vegan, non-petroleum based lip balms. See here and here for some examples. I use a vegan, non-petroleum based lip balm from Lush.

I use Jason SPF 20 lip balm and it's brilliant, really creamy and smells lovely.
Is vaseline even vegan?

I use the Yaoh mango-flavoured one. It's just as good as the beeswax ones I used to use before becoming vegan.
