Sorry more questions!
Just wondering, vegan diet does it equal weight loss initially? I'd assume yes due to cutting out dairy.

I don't think its automatic. With vegan or any other diet the normal rules of weight loss apply ie use more calories than you eat and you'll lose weight.
That said, a vegan diet is more likely to be low in fat and higher in fibre so is more suited to losing weight. There's also the possible factor that for some people who turn vegan its the first time they've thought about their diet so are more likely to eat properly.
Beware though, chips and Green and Blacks plain chocolate is a vegan diet but you won't lose weight ;D

You ask as many questions as you want, exchange of help and support (and a laugh) is what this place is about.
Personally I lost over 1 stone in weight and have kept it off. For the first time in my life my weight is stable without dieting.
But as veggiesosage says it all depends on what you eat. Lots of cakes and biscuits (yes you do get vegan cakes and biscuits) will not equal weight loss.

I lost about half a stone when I turned vegan, then put it back on again after an injury forced me to spend three months sitting on a sofa eating dark chocolate and peanut-butter-and-jam-on-toast.

*Removes all the Jam from Tabi's residence, so that she has to change her location to "An unhappy place without jam*. It's for her own good . In answer to the question, I lost a bit of weight at first, then put it and more back on, but I'm a skinny lil bint, so weight gain is a good thing in my case.

I lost half a stone when I went vegan without dieting but I always used to be thin anyway when I used to run.
I am now probably 2 stones heavier than I have ever been but am not that bothered as people still say I am thin.

I hit 108KG in Dec from lifting and bulking, I am back down to 96KG from cutting (bodybuilders version dieting) and am aiming for 90kg before holiday.
When I first went vegan and didnt know what I was doing it was hard to put on healthy weight i.e. muscle not flab, but its realy easy when you actualy understand how your body works.

I put on weight. I blame discovering soya milkshakes. I think I put on about half a stone in the first 6 months or something. Lately I've put on a bit more, although I'm too scared to weigh myself now. That said I'm small and only about a size 10-12. But I did used to be thinner. I can't stop eating 'junk' food though.

I probably lost about half a stone in the first month, but I'd put that down to cutting out chocolate, cheese, milk, and fried egg rolls! I can probably lose another half stone before I start looking ill...
