Who else felt the earth move last night? Couldn't believe it. An earth quake measuring 5.3 on the ricta scale too!! It woke me up and I woke my bloke up as I got a bit scared and wanted to make sure it wasn't just me dreaming lol. Confused with it all I still managed to get back to sleep but it played on my mind all night , then woke this morning, thinking what on earth happened during the night, then had it confirmed on teh news.

Wow. No I didn't feel it.
I felt an earthquake in London in 1990. The pavement wobbled quite noticably. Later I found out it happened at the exact moment of my niece's birth.

Oooh strange - has any other weird stuff occured at times of importance for your niece??
I felt it last night, it woke me up! I've felt tiny tremors in Japan once but this was much stronger!

I slept right through it. Which was weird cos I randomly woke up at about 2.30am and I honestly can't remember the last time I was asleep at 1am.
I remember there were earthquakes 3 years running centred in Notts I think 2000-02, all around the same date in October. In fact the first and the 3rd were on exactly the same date 2 years apart. I think one of them got into the 4s on the Richter scale. I slept through 2 of those as well.

I felt a little rumble on my chair (in Cheltenham), my friend in solihull (birmingham) text me saying "f**k me, did you feel that?", as it happened up by Hull, this weirded me out a bit.

It woke me up whole room was rattling and a picture fell off the wall and wardrobe doors were moving, well scary, I thought it was an earth tremor/quake as Id felt the Dudley one several years ago, sounded like i was above a tube station! I went back to sleep after.
It upset the rabbit here and our dog landed on me straight after - that woke me up more as hes 26kg ;D

I was genuinly just relieved it wasn't the rumbling of an Atom bomb about to send a wave of boiling fire through the house.

Me too! I thought it was either a really big lorry, a nuke, or an earthquake, but anyway it was quite fun. It made playing FFVIII at 3am or whenever it was much more enjoyable Marcus Brigstocke did a thing on it...: www.youtube.com/watch?v=jf4RFMA5OjM"...extraordinarily petty and indiscriminate shaking"

I was up, going through photos of my computer from a gig I'd been to that evening. It sounded like someone was climbing on my roof (I live in a little bungalow type building with a flat roof). I thought there was a burglar or psycho outside. I was quite relieved to find it was an earthquake.
