i just recently started being vegan and i need some help. i've got a mohawk and i used to unflavored gelatin powder (mixed with water to form a paste) to make it stay up, and now i don't know what to use as a substitute. my friend said something about agar agar, but i don't know how to use/apply it. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I remember people using sugar in the 80s.
Agar agar can be used to make jelly - I'm not sure it would work as a replacement for gelatin in that circumstance, though.
