Hey sarah, I've heard capak (sp?) are vegan, although they're prescription and very powerful. I don't think that you'll find any that aren't originally tested on animals, the best you can hope for with conventional meds that they'll not have any animal ingredients. I have a chronic illness and have to take different types of conventional medication, until there's an effective alternative it's my only option atm.

I don't know how up to date that info is, though, so you might have to check.

For about 2 years I tried to avoid all chemical medication but I've recently started to take painkillers again as I'm not well enough right now to deal with physical pain as well as emotional pain. I'm taking Tesco Extra Power Pain Reliever caplets. They seem to be vegan and work well.

They all have been tested on animals at some point. I opened the packet to check the ingredients which is on a leaflet inside. I don't see any non vegan ingredient here: paracetamol, aspirin, caffein, maize starch, methylcellulose, microcrystallin cellulose, sorbitol (E420), sodium lauryl sulphate, hydogenated cotton seed oil, methylhydroxypropylcellulose and polyehylene glycol.
