1.Melilotus, aka White Melilot (Melilotus albus)
1 tsp of leaves - fresh or dry - per cup of pre-boiled water.
This tea doesn't taste too bad and is also good to lower blood pressure, eases nausea, and furthermore, eases the system after having vomited. However, this herb has some acidity, and therefore, it is recommended not to drink more than 6 cups a day, and if possible, to alternate with the following herbs, or even mix.
2. Calamint (Calamintha incana)
You can make it in two ways. Either pre-boil water and process like any other tea, by adding the herb to the water, wait for 4-10 minutes and drink (1 tsp of leaves - fresh or dry - per cup of pre-boiled water.), or you can cook with the water ; 2 handfuls of stems and leaves in a litter water and stop 3 minutes after the water have boiled. Either way is good. Drink 4-5 cups a day.
Also helps ease with intense stomach aches.
This tea tastes very good, its name means "the excellent mint" - in Greek.
Calamint can be mixed with mint or peppermint, as they have similar and complementary tastes. Both of them help with many illness, such as stomach aches & headaches, nausea & vomiting, just like Melilot.
They also can be used to boost ones energy levels. Mints in general are used for many other illnesses, too many to summarize at the moment.
3. Sheppard's purse (Caspella bursa-pastoris)
Again, two ways to prepare. Either pre-boil water and process like any other tea, by adding the herb to the water, wait for 4-10 minutes and drink (1 tsp of leaves - fresh or dry - per cup of pre-boiled water.), or you can cook 1 Tbl spoon of leaves - fresh or dry - with 1 cup of water, for 15 minutes. This is supposed to be so potent, drinking only 1-2 tsp a day are required. I never suggested this way before, so I'm not sure how effective it is. The classic way seems to be effective, but warning : this herb helps by making the blood flow MORE, thus making the clots more rare or non-existent. Pain is reduced at this "cost".
If you make the high potent mix, you can also use it to stop bleeding in the urinary system (if you know anyone who needs it, I've never heard of this problem, aside for my book).
Also, if you dip a gauze in this mix, you can use it to stop nose bleeding.
Each of these herbs have other means.
I highly suggest making mixed teas of 2 or all 3, which you can even start 5 days before the actual period starts.
