Hi all,
As I announced, Here are some notes to help with the immune system. My research in this field is still partial, so don’t take me for your bible, just as a guide LOL
For information (am not a doc, just pasting from a book), the immune system can be impaired & weakened through many factors, including stress, a poor diet & nutritional defenciencies, enviromental pollution, injury & surgery, digestive problems & over-use of anti-bioticis. To the book, I want to add psychological wounds as that could occure as a result, added to the stress, in my opionion & experience.
I don’t know if I should title the books servings as my sources right now but if you need, I could or post links in another message.
For now, here’s a very interesting website
www.synergy-health.co.uk/articles/immunesystem20031007.html
Some of information here after are short as you’ll find their details in the webpage.
But, there’s something many of us tend to forger...WATER to drink plenty of it, at least 1.5 litter.. 7-9 cups a day. In the summer, add 2-9 cups, depending on the heat, your phiscal efforts etc...
Water helps the body stay healthy & helps the immune system as well as the organs to function. I'd say to drink more to help them fix & heal...
1. first, you need to be in a positive state of mind, which will increase the body’s abilities to cope with allergies & disease.
2.Wholefood diet, high in organic fruits & vegetables, nuts, beans & pulses, unrefined oils. They’ll provide a good foundation for a healthy immune system.
3. Using herbs that strenghtens the immune system & help recovery from illness & injury will enhance healthy functioning in all the body’s systems.
Such plants are :
Borage has a supportive supportive & restorative effect on the adrenal glands. Aside for helping in cases of depression it's also good to aid convalescence.
Wild yam has an anti-inflammatory effect, helping relieve symptoms of infection & allergy. it is also a tonic for the digestive tract & the liver.
Echinacea can be used as an alternative to anti-biotics, ueseful for fighting infections & cleansing the bood & lymphatic system.
Usually, herbal teas are made from 1 or more plants ; 1 to 1 & half tea spoon of its active part per 1 cup of water. I think it applies for these 3 as well but I haven’t found anything precise as of yet. I’ll keep you updated.
As you can read on www.synergy-health.co.uk/articles/immunesystem20031007.html garlic is commonly used to boost hte immune system. However, don’t give raw Garlic to children under age 12 without supervision of a herbal practioner.
For adults, altho some do eat it raw, it’s rather strong & can trigger gripping pains ; for this reason, it’s better to eat with another food.
Untill next time with more infos, feel free to add o’v’courseeeee! hehe
