for the last few days I have had lots of ulcers on my tongue and its so sore it hurts to eat, and the corners of my mouth feel sore too, do you think its some kind of vitamin deficiency? do you guys take vitamin supplements?

It could be vitamin deficiency, though the causes are legion according to Wikipedia.
"Factors that appear to provoke them include stress, fatigue, illness, injury from accidental biting, hormonal changes, menstruation, sudden weight loss, food allergies and deficiencies in vitamin B12, iron and folic acid. Some drugs, such as nicorandil, have also been linked with oral ulcers. Some recreational drugs cause mouth ulcers."
I take Deva multivitamin & mineral supplements, which are formulated for vegans.

Chickpea, I don't take any vitamin supplements and frankly my diet is shocking but I don't get more than the occasional mouth ulcer.
It could be that, having just gone vegan, its just part of your body's reaction to the change in your diet and if thats the case it should only be temporary.
Vitamin B12 deficiency doesn't normally show up for years as your body tends to store quite large supplies. And its actually pretty rare for vegans to get it anyway.

Thanks for your replies! I'll see if it still hurts tomorrow and if it does might invest in some vitamin tablets - Sluggie are those pills really chunky? I gag on chunky chalky pills

Umm ... they're large-ish and a little bit chalky, but they are lozenge shaped, so not too difficult to swallow. They go down quite easily with a gulp of a fruit smoothie.

I used to get em & told it was a reflection of how my digestive system was working
this is what I was told to do - it worked quickly
Squeeze half a lemon into warm water every morning as it alkerlines your system & clears the bowels even though its acid
add 5 drops of citircidal to juice 5 times & day & use as a mouth wash 3 times daily - aids healing & stops infections took a fruit n veg supplement & started juicing
take a pro biotic every night without food before going to bed
always use a water filter
cut out wheat whenever possible
hope that works
