I'm not the greatest reader in the world but want some good AR books to read. Any recomendations? The directions I want are ones about stories of animal liberation and also about vivisection.
Any ideas?Thx.

This may help. www.veganism.com/books.htmlScroll down to the Animal Rights History section. That looks that it might be what you're after. Can't say I've actually read any of them though.

The Henshaw one's a good read if you can find it - it's totally anti ALF, but the stories and details of the growth of the AR movement in the 70s and 80s are so inspiring and just make you wanna get out and, erm, hand out leaflets obviously!

Here's a few more I just dug up out of my local graveyard...
Terrorists or Freedom Fighters - Reflections on the Liberation of Animals ed Steven Best et al - though I reckon you've already got this one!
Some probably out of date and hard to get ones include:
the novel 'I want to go to Moscow' by Maureen Duffy - a quite prophetic book about the uselessness of nvda - written 1973 but has been reprinted since then.
Voiceless Victims by Rebecca Hall - a general book about animal cruelty and how to combat it - one of the first to openly advocate supporting the ALF...
and for really early AR activities 'My Head Against the Wall' by Vera Sheppard - a 1979 book about 2 elderly folk and their campaigns against Bloodsports in the 1960s!
