yeah, the cattlemens' beef association used to have the 'cool2breal' website which was similar, but was an advert for dead cow rather than dead pig. A while back they changed it into 'Zip4Tweens' ('tweens' being a little name which they've made up to describe people who are midway beTWEEN being kids and being teenagers) and it was similarly stinky. And now the URL simply comes up with one of those rubbish null-website 'internet gateway' pages which crop up when webspace is left neglected for long enough. HUZZAH !

In the FAQ I notice how they do not answer how they kill the poor pigs! I expect they do not want the children to know about that! I would have thought that the more kids knew about pigs the less they would want to eat them so hopefully this is just the kind of site will backfire on the pig killers.

What many people don't realize is how smart pigs are. It's funny when you think how grossed out the average person gets about the idea of eating a dog, but will eat a pig without thinking twice.
They'll always be propaganda. I just wish kids were introduced to vegan ideas too.

There is a lot of work going on to introduce the ideas to kids here in the UK. Animal Aid and Viva! have school speakers and many AR groups have youth contacts and youth pages, the Vegan Society also has a young people's section. I don't know how effective the pork producers are at getting their propaganda out, I suspect the situation is probably worse in the US than the UK, as I have not heard of my kids getting any meat/dairy propaganda pushed at them in school so far. Although of course as vegans we nearly always have to send things in when there is anything done to do with food and cookery, dairy/eggs in cooking is pretty much the norm, even if not so much is done using meat.

In the Netherlands, we have massive long-term campaigns from the government and food industry and such to stimulate people and children to eat chicken, dairy, fish, beef and other meat. I once read in a vegetarian magazine about a mother whose children got pamphlets at school with ideas for treats and they all contained meat. People are brainwashed constantly because they are being exposed to their ideas in commerical breaks on radio and television. There are websites for children like the one here and they are supported by the European Union. It is pure propaganda and even if confronted with the truth, they will still continue believing in those lies. That is how brainwashed and indoctrinated they have been for decades and decades. I also believed that milk and eggs were healthy and it kept me from becoming vegan sooner because I read in books and magazines that these were essential if you did not eat meat.
