I was reading my NOW mag and came across an article about a new book thats out called Skinny Bitch - has anyone read about it?
Apparently it's caused fury across America because it prohibits all meat and dairy produce and encourages people to go organic. There's a photo of Posh buying the book at some store.
I've just bought it off Amazon so I'll let you know what it's like... here's a review from some random person that's read it....
This book is a good read and the authors choice of words are hilarious, vulgar and true...."Don't be a Pussy" is one of the chapter titles and a great one if that. I appreciated their eye opening information about the way animals are raised and killed. I have always just chose to block out the mental image and enjoy some good meat( Personally i just eat chicken and fish). However, reading the disgusting and disturbing details about how animals suffer and die with fear and anxiety, has changed my mind to becoming a vegetarian. On the other hand, the reason I gave this book 3 stars is because the authors expect you to BECOME STRICTLY VEGAN. No dairy, meat, eggs, caffeine, or liqueur and everything purchased and chewed must be organic. They did not offer much information on how to approach this massive lifestyle change. Instead, they suggested eliminating one food or vice item(smoking) at time. Although, the book made me realize I do need to make some changes, I feel it is a little impractical to rid so many things from your life in such a short time. Also, I consider myself a skinny bitch and for years I have consumed dairy. However, the book made me realize I am not the most Healthiest skinny bitch and for that I am appreciative. Give it a try.....be open minded to the entire VEGAN diet. You'll laugh and be totally disgusted by the descriptive details of meat. Overall its worth a try!
