BVV (Birmingham vegans and veggies) are holding their BBQ at Martinau Gardens next Sunday 2nd Sept 12 -6pm Great setting, on good bus route from city as just off Bristol Road so 62/3 bus or the 1 stops outside. Opposite the Priory hospital, limited parking easier to cycle or use public transport. There will be catering from the wonderful veggies van and a green fair too plus AR stalls and natural products/treatments with some reduced/free taster sessions Tours of the grounds too. Some soft drinks for sale, people usually bring cool bags too - fine to bring a few beers if you want, picnic blankets useful too. This is a great event, ive been the past 2 years and it keeps getting better each year! Alison

Alison gosh, distance costs quite a bit... if i wanted to come, i'd have to leave home shortly before 6:45 AM - france time = that's 5:45for you - take a train to paris, then to london, then to birmingham, where i'd arrive at 5:59 PM... with a total cost of 180 £ 12 hours transport & not even make it lol... or come previous day flights are outrageous (paris to birmingham = between 180 & 820 £)... my most expensive meal lol SCOTTY beam me up !

Erm not sure as not had anything to do with it but its one of those things that seems to grow by the year I gather there is food by veggies this year last few years the local bvv people have done a fab job of catering this year veggies are cooking so the bvv staff get a break! There will be AR stalls, local groups stalls, and a green fair - dont know how many stalls yet? last year saw cake stalls and tours of the grounds. Its not huge but not small doubt there will be more than 20 stalls but its a good atmosphere and people stay several hours. My friend Tina who is trained in indian head massage and reflexology and is setting up locally has booked a stall. Not looked up trains yet but i hope to get there between 12 and 1 and leave between 4-5pm I tend to take soft drinks and something to sit on, weathers meant to be good and would be good to see you

I will be there. Its a good opportunity to meet someone I want to meet who lives in Birmingham. Is anyone else going? Maybe we could have a mini meetup?

I'll aim for 12pm, which might get me there by about 1pm. Unfortunately punctuality isn't my strong point ;D Alison have you posted about this on VF?
