I always wince when i see those ones "GET RIPPED" they say at the top , and I'm like WTF ? WHY would i want to be ripped ? I'm not waste paper, you know !

I haven;t looked at surgery demands from clients lately. For all i know, surgeries' waiting lists might be filled to overflowing with unfortunate people whose curiosity got the better of them, desperately wanting to get their brand new huge manboobs and feminine 8-inch-long pen1ses removed, or needing to be sewn back up again after 'getting ripped' edit - thingy thingy thingy ;D this forum has an obsession with pen1ses I think.

It looks like the ads are designed to reflect the topic of each thread as a user reads it. I just noticed that in reading the neti pot thread there were ads for neti pots and other sinus treatments, dog-related ads in the thread about Ginny, and the fish oil ads where the thread has complaints about the fish oil ads! I guess if you don't want to see an ad for honey or fish oil, you shouldn't post about it. I can think of all kinds of you-know-whats not to post about lest we see ads for them popping up over the thread.

The ads co-incide with key words in the title of the individual forums/boards or topics and what's said in them. For example, when I went into a MMORPG topic in the RPG section of my forum, I got ads for D & D at the top of my forum page. God forbid what comes up when I look at my "not work safe" section!

Yep, it's so infuriating.
I tried paying Proboards for the ad removal a few weeks ago, but as I'm in the UK, and not the US had to send a cheque and they said it would take a few weeks for them to be removed.
Come to think of it, I don't think they cashed the cheque, which is probably why they haven't removed the ads yet.
Will get on to them in the morning and see what is going on.
