Ooh ech, feel pressure now, erm, Da Vinci Code was quite good, mumbles...
We could do it like a proper book thread in that a load of us get together and decide a book we will all read and come back and discuss it. Or we can just randomly chat about books. What do people think?

Hmmmmmmmm, we should cast a vote........ both ideas seem good. Shame everyone seems to have gone to bed now. Will have to wait to see what everyone says. Actually the first idea sounds pretty cool about deciding on a book to read, but am happy with either........ Being the easy going parsnip that I am!

I'm kind of in favour of the former cos it might actually get me reading a book again, which would be a good thing. It does mean people having to go around buying books though and I don't know if everybody has the money for that.

Hmmmmmmmmm....... I have an idea.... What about if we found a book that was easily available in a library for everyone?

That's an excellent idea! Although if it was one of the huge pile I have sitting beside my desk waiting to read, that would be even better!! lol (just kidding) Any ideas anyone? What kind of thing do people like? I am a book woman-of-the-night (<-- self editing swear words ) so I will read just about anything.

Yes! Lets do it. How would we choose? Shortlist it from a list that we all like and then take a vote? I vote Scar Tissue by Antony Kiedis cos its rude and hes gorgeous. (only joking - Ive read it already).

Well Tabs....... Looks like your Scar Tissue may be in order........ Although the title doesn't sound too appropriate with you just coming out the hospital (sorry had to get that bad pun in!)
Any other ideas people?

Never heard of it, so I'm game. Just popping off to check library listings. I warn you though I don't do high brow literature ;D

I like reading too!
What about Labyrinth by Kate Moss (not THAT K.M.) apparently its a grail-type story similar to the Da Vinci Code. I've heard its quite good, I want to read it anyway.

I'm torn between Peter Rabbit, by Beatrice Potter, and Admiralty and Maritime Law, Volume 1, by Robert Force, A.N. Yiannopoulos, Martin Davies. This is an excellent book and is even better than volume 2, which is saying something.

Books that might have more popular appeal have to include those by Raymond Chandler. The Big Sleep is a good one. You might have seen the film version, starring Bogie and Bacall.
