Not sure where to post this:
Had an email at work thats gone to all staff that was cause for concern:
"A home is desperately needed for a 12 month Staffordshire Bull Terrier (bitch). Excellent temperament, but has been mistreated and is very skinny. If anyone is interested or knows anyone interested then please contact me ASAP. The dog is free and has had all its jabs."
I have been trying to find out more info and to find out the location etc...somewhere in the West Midlands
I couldnt offer a home due to our dog companion recovering from major op, but if anyone knows of anyone who might be able to help out please let me know, i should have further info soon.
Thanks Alison

Awwwwww, the poor thing.
We wouldn't really have the space for another dog that size, otherwise would have loved to have helped.
Why is it that people seem to get staffs and ditch them as soon as they aren't puppies and big? It's so sad, as the majority seem to be really affectionate, just a bit boistrous and once they are out of that cute puppy stage they just don't want to know.
I was at Battersea recently and I kid you not that around 60% of the dogs there were staffs. It's so sad. I will ask around at work anyway.

Found out more The staffie girl (red brindle) belonged to a couple who split up and the dog was left out most of the time, general ill treatment and not fed so very skinny  A guy from another centre at work found out about this and went round to collect the staffie and has been looking after her ever since, he cant keep her as he allready has a staffie and they dont get on too well, he also has 4 rescue cats. He is happy for me to contact the staffie rescue and prepared to drive quite a distance if it means finding this staffie a forever home. Considering what shes been thru she is very friendly and has a lovely character, 13 months old all jabs done. Others at work are asking round, really hope this works out! She is in the West Midlands, I will contact the staffie rescue, but if anyone knows anyone able to help do let me know. Alison

Hi All i know is that she is 13 months old red brindle and very friendly/housetrained. She loves fuss and attention and would make a great companion. She is in the West Midlands - Stourbridge way. Im going to try ringing the guy tomorrow see if theres an update? So if theres any questions you want me to ask? He does drive but not sure how far he would be able to travel? The rescue id found about is in the Lake District! but has contacts who act as couriers here i think. Staffies make wonderful loyal friends - they have a wonderful character. Alison

Staffies often love living with other dogs, but with both being rescue ones they are very wary of each other. The cats are ganging up on the dogs it seems!
Will find out what i can and let you know..........
