For those who don't know, Martin is Clare, the possum's, baby who I found injured in my workshop last July. It was quite touching, as he came straight for me with his arms out as though he was asking for help. This is what he looked like: After some help from Claire, the vet, and some TLC from me, I released him in September and haven't seen him since. Here he is, just before release: I've been hoping that he's doing OK but have always had a worry that he may not have made it, until last night when my neighbour and I got back from the vet where we'd had a magpie euthanased, and were talking in her carport when she mentioned that she'd recently seen a little possum, with one eye, eating her grapes! It just has to be Martin! Bloody brilliant! God knows why the little bugger hasn't been over at my place for a chat but, come to think of it, I did feed him grapes when I had him! And I'm told that Martins can be contrary buggers! ;D
