sorry the words cheap and brighton dont sit comfortably together i recently stayed at paskins it was nice but cost a fortune

Yeah I've stayed at Paskins, too.
If you're going out of season it shouldn't be too bad.
Self catering is definitely the way to go otherwise you are stuck eating out every night which gets expensive.
luap would be the one to ask, I reckon.
