There I was on my pc , everything was totally fine, I was chatting away to friends on msn , then all of a sudden my msn starting going mental , someones msn sent me a random message then BANG my msn totally went mental, startin automatically sending the same link to all my contacts without me actaully doing anything. I have turned my pc on and off 4 times now and I cannot access my msn at all , it just says something like I need at last msn 4.7 to work!!! I get this box coming up saying RUN this programme , run or cancel, so I cancel , then if I run it it opens my msn up but starts this whole sending autmatic messages to my contacts.
Now its happening to me,some one elses msn is sending me links .
HEEEEELPPPPP MEEEE PLEASE I have lost my msn and think my computer is dying from a virus. ------------------------------------------ done a chekc it found something but then said it had fixed it. But my msn still gone. What do I do now. I can't check my e:mails, can't talk to people I need to talk to ,I can't do anything. HEEEELLLPPPP. Anyoen got any ideas? Thx.

Hi your computer won't physically die of a virus, at absolute worst you'll just have to reinstall Windows and all your programs and backup data, which takes a lot of time.
In the least worst case you just reinstall MSN. Do you have backups of your contacts? Can you still make backups if nec?
Google around and see if there's a new kind of MSN virus active. Try also SPIM which is for SPAM by instant messaging.
Do you have the free security programs Ad Aware and Spybot Search and Destoy installed?
all the best, keep calm.

I had that about a year ago. Was chatting away to a couple of friends and then it kept sending the words to them as if I had written it:
"Well you're just a ******* fat plonker then!"
I was so embarrassed! No one would believe it was a virus!

Does seem to be a load of viruses doing the rounds at the moment. AVG free version is a good anti-virus - free.grisoft.com/doc/5390/lng/us/tpl/v5AOL do a free anti-virus now, too - www.activevirusshield.com/I've not used the AOL one but it is written by a decent Anti-virus company. You should use one or other of those if you aren't paying for one already. An out of date program is useless.
