I've heard a lot of people here talking about juicing and as I've never juiced I was wondering what the benefits are. What sort of stuff do you juice, is milk involved, what juicers are recommended? All that sort of stuff basically. Is it worth me splashing out on a juicer and trying it out? Help please

Help please OK juicing is good as you can get all the nutrients, plus enzymes really quickly and easily in some yummy recipes. It also counts as portions of your daily fruit and veg intake and you can juice just about anything. Just remember to juice just prior to drinking as leaving it around will kill the enzymes, but anything you like fruit or veg wise: A few examples are: Carrot and apple Carrot and beetroot Apple and pear Mango and raspberry Peach and Strawberry Wheatgrass shots etc etc There's loads more. I'd buy a middle range one for now...... About £50 will get you a reasonable one with a pulp container. I have a Moulineaux Juice Lady. I have had the very expensive ones in the past, but for some reason I break them, yet this one is perfect. The only time you would use milk such as soya would be in a smoothie maker which is different and that you can put bananas and non juicable fruits to be pureed. Come on people, give Squirrel some recipes.

Have you heard of these juicers with some kind of magnetic fittings that are supposed to keep the enzymes from dying off if you don't drink the juice right away Tigger? Do you think that is possible?

Ooooooooh, like the idea of that, thanks Fauxmage. Hmmm, now where to get them in the UK??? Looks like another Google search is on the cards! Squirrel, will try and remember the site that I used to get all my old recipes from.... It has loads. Have it saved under my favs, but my AOL favs seems to be not working at the mo.

Peppers, carrot and pear
In fact carrot and or apple can be mixed with any vegjuice to make it sweeter and more palatable.
Celery, cuecumber, apple and ginger......
