This post is a must for new vegans and old vegans alike to refer to for what you think is a must have for a good nutritious diet.
I'll start with one:
Watermelon: It is high in gluthaione which supports the immune system.
It is also high in citrulline which is converted by the body into arginine, which eventually increases nitric oxide in the muscles to give them more strength.
Excellent for you if training or run down.
Who's next?

Pumpkin seeds, linseeds etc. Good source of fibre, protein and zinc as well as being yummy and you can snack on 'em or add to anything.
Rich in omega oils.

Flaxseed - is a must high in omega 3s, which is the one us vegans are short of. pumpkin and hemp seeds are ok but they are more balanced in terms of the amount of omega 6s they contain; therefore they aren't good for changing your ratio of 3:6 which is the problem. the only thing is i find flax in forms revoulting, so i take supplements
