OK, well here's a chance to tell everyone what milk alternatives you use and why.
I use Rice Dream or Provamel rice drink, although I find the Rice Dream a little powdery.
Yesterday I discovered in Tesco their fresh soya drink which I think I may be converted to as its nicer than the longlife soya, is cheaper than the rice milk...... about 2 thirds of the price and has a good complex of vitamins in where the rice milk only has the calcium.

I usually use SoGood. I have something in my store cupboard called Oatley, but on the packet it looks such a ghastly grey colour that I cant bring myself to use it.

I like almond milk best for general use, and hazelnut milk for sweet recipes and anything with chocolate. Oat and multigrain milks are good for stuff that you don't want sweetness in. I don't dislike soymilk, but I like these better. I rarely drink rice milk, though I have had "milk" chocolate made with rice milk solids, and it is very tasty.

I haven't tried TOO many milk alternatives yet, but here are my favorites so far:
Very Vanilla Soymilk (Silk brand) - VERY yummy and it's pretty darn good. Rice Dream, Rice Milk - Very similar to milk and has a great milk-like texture.
The only "downside" with Rice Milk is that its similarities to cow's milk probably have an effect on me...I usually can't guzzle the stuff down and I usually drink a small cup of it, when it is available. (usually when I drink things, I tend to have a medium to tall-sized glass of it.

Discovered yesterday in Tesco a new (yay) vegan product that has just been released. It's Alpro Choc Soy Milk and Alpro Fruit (Tropical or Orchard) soya milk. All yummy, but chocolate my fav. They're about 89p in Tesco in the chilled section, and here's what they look like.

vanilla ricemilk in coffee- gorgeous, and healthier than adding vanilla syrup or whatever to get the starbucks effect! bonus! its taken me sooo long to realise that you need to wait a good 3 minutes before adding soy/rice milk to coffee to prevent curdling.. feeling rather blonde now (im allowed to say that, i am naturally blonde

I must say, I can't get into that fruit alpro soy milk. Just tastes strange to me. Tbh, I never liked the taste of cow's milk unless it was with cereal or in tea or in a milkshake. Could never drink it on it's own, same goes for soya milk. Has to be in something. Anyways, it's either the alpro soya, so good, or store own. Tried ricemilk in tea the other day, no difference really. Also had home made vanilla soy ice cream - yum yum. I used to be thoroughly addicted to alpro chocolate soya milk when I first tried it. My addiction has died down a bit though. Lol @ bobby, choco soya milk has been around for ages, just not in that bottle

I drink Soya Soleil. It's about two-thirds the price of other soya milks and is just as good. Gooder than some. I use it in tea, cocoa, and porridge. Very occasionally, I might sup some on its own.

I have used almond milk ( too much sugar added ), rice dream (yummy) and soy milk. unsweetened soy milk is gross ( ok to cook with though and best for health benefits ) but sweetened i think its good. rice dreams my favourite and most creamy imo

I use Rice Dream with added calcium and have never looked back - I did try other alternatives to dairy milk, Soya milk was my least favourite, most yukky - I did try oat milk in my tea and although it was ok, it did taste strongly of oats, it would be fab with porridge!

I use any type of vegan soya milk, except the so good which is nasty. Never tried rice milk but i have been tempted. I want to try almond milk but its about £1.60 in H&B and i didnt want it going to waste if i didnt like it. Love the Alpro choc drink in the pic above but i agree with chenli about the fruit Alpro, its just not quite right. My little one loves it though.

Has anyone tried hazlenut and almond Rice Dream. It is delicious in Barleycup. Tastes almost like a liquer (I cant spell liqueur).

I love the hazelnut and almond Rice Dream! It is delicious. I also like their other varieties. I usually drink Alpro, the one for children. The regular one for cooking and baking. Oatly is great in porridge mixed with some soyamilk. I always buy the varieties with added calcium and vitamines, therefore I never buy the organic ones as they seldom have added B12 or other things. At least not in the Netherlands. And I think the taste of Alpro is better than their organic brand Provamel. But that is just personal, I guess.
