Bad example to choose for posting on a vegan, site, but it does sound interesting.
From a personal point of view I would like to know about what fats and oils they use, salt content, what additives are in there, in addition obviously to being sure what is vegan and what is not.
Restaurant food can be so unhealthy. They can use as much salt, msg and unhealthy fats as they want and no-one is any the wiser.

I think that salt content information and other health related issues are already being heavily promoted by the media in general. It may be something that could be incorporated into the campaign, but there is already a lot of focus on it.

I would like to see foods better labeled, so that people can make informed decisions.
However, most people here do not eat any eggs. We're vegans.

Things like olives... I ate them for ages under the pretense that if bought in a jar just in brine it would be fine. Dayam that Lactic Acid....

Lactic acid in products that don't contain dairy is usually from a vegetable source. It can be made by fermentation of corn, potatoes and molasses for instance.
Wikipedia has this to say:
You could email the companies that produce the olives you like and check, but they will probably be using a vegetable source.

I would like to see labelling on beers, indicating whether they have been fined with fish bladders or some other animal-derived product, or are suitable for vegans.

This is one of the few areas where I would like to see mandatory labelling. It is a ridiculous situation that alcohol over a certain Volume doesn't have to carry any information. It is a nightmare for vegetarians and vegans alike.

I def would support more labelling of food and def drink aswell. Thigns are slowly getting better but no where near good enough as they should be. And none of these long drawn out words , put it straight - pigs blood , calf hooves etc not the hidden words they use to cover up the truth.

Sorry but it's a fact that egg producing chickens and dairy cows are the most mistreated of all farm animals. It's not a question of why you aren't vegan it's a question of why you support that suffering. This campaign is not about people's personal ethics at all. It is non-judgmental and includes meat-eaters and faith groups that you won't agree with either. The only things that you need to ask are: 1. Do you want better food labelling in eateries? 2. Do you think that better labelling will make it easier for people to become vegan in the future?

I was highlighting the hypocrisy of vegetarians being worried about fining agents in alcoholic drinks when they support the egg and dairy industries.
You would cause far less suffering and death from drinking a bottle of wine which had been fined with isinglass than you would drinking a pint of milk.
Off topic, really, I know.
