They're having another pop blogs.guardian.co.uk/food/2007/08/hardcore_quorn.html#moreInterestingly, the page is sponsored by Alpro. Also the 'vegetarian' link at the top links to their 'archive' of vegetarian articles. There are in fact only 2; the one above and another called 'Ode to Pork'

Looks like he needs a basic physics lesson. The 2 basic criteria for anything non-abstract in the physical world, are (1) Animal (2) VEGETABLE , and (3) mineral. Vegetarians eat p-l-a-n-t-s, not a-n-i-m-a-l-s Would he have thought that ? Assumedly, this would have been if he had ever decided to think at all. Here are my views about So-called 'fake meat'He is 'begging the question' - writing as if he assumes that everyone agrees with him dubious point, rather than making the effort to try and convince us that he is correct. For me, there is nothing reminiscent of icky bits of animal entrails , when it comes to eating processed plant foods. (O.O) f**ksake ! I don;t think people should be feeding Quorn to kids at all, least of all one so young ! Quorn (aka. Mycoprotein aka. Fusarium Gramineurum)He's really scraping the barrel, here. I mean, assumedly he would not say "gee, microwaveable eggs in a bun exist , and so do Twinkies, my god us non-vegans are a f**ked up bunch..... some people eat chicken feet even though they've been stood around in shit for a year before being sold, that's so nasty so all flesh-based foods are nasty. There are chemicals in flesh-based convenience meals so all flesh is filled with toxins. I think that people who eat jelly babies are depraved because it's really like biting off someone's head - just like eating something that looks slightly like a processed bit of pig is really like eating a bit of pig." There are organic veggie sausages.... unlike Quorn ones, they're often suitable for vegans. Funny how he doesn;t mention stuff like that, or even recognise that it might exist while pretending to be some sort of authority on the subject, eh ? I guess that saying "water, organic soyabeans, cold pressed sunflower oil, soya sauce, organic oatmeal, organic onions, sea salt, organic spices & herbs and organic lemon oil - hurrrr hurrrrr that is so weird and unhealthy and so obviously much worse for you than industrially produced BHA and BHT-infused MSG-laced flesh from GM-fed animals, which is filled with herbicides, pesticides, insecticides and fungicides, hurrr hurrr vegetarians are all such weirdoes" ... doesn;t quite carry the same weight.

Alpro aren't a vegan company. This is one of the various reasons why i favour Plamil over Alpro.
