1/ Veggie Pride Lyon: how to get there, and other practical information
Hello,
The French Veggie Pride will take place in less than a month in Lyon. We are looking forward to meeting you on Saturday 16 May at 2 pm at the Place des Terreaux (Lyon 1er – 1st arrondissement).
To find your way around Lyon, you can use the public transport site www.tcl.fr/ which shows maps and routes. The metro is a direct line from the Perrache railway station (gare SNCF de Perrache): you get off at Hôtel de Ville.
To get to Lyon or find accommodation, see Point 3 below.
2/ New site www.veggiepride.fr
The new site of French Veggie Pride is now on line at the following address: www.veggiepride.fr.
Help us publicise this event! You can download banners, posters and leaflets here. www.veggiepride.fr/home/materiel.html
3/ Personal adverts forum
We have created a page where you can put your requests for, and offers of, lifts and accommodation: veniralaveggiepride.ning.com/forum/. If you live in Lyon and can accommodate one or more visitors on the Veggie Pride weekend, please leave a message. You can also make a request for accommodation or organize a lift.
4/ Preparations for the march
The march will come to a halt from time to time so we can watch and listen to various « happenings ». If you have an idea for a performance, or if you simply want to read something, please write to contact@veggiepride.fr.
Please let us know if you would like your group or association to hold a stand during the Veggie Pride. You should note that all documents presented on the stands should be in agreement with the spirit of the Veggie Pride: in particular, they should be centered on the consequences for the animals, as sentient beings, of the use of their bodies for food and of other cruel treatments that they are subjected to.
Furthermore, the Veggie Pride is to be your demonstration: make your own banners and posters. Please do not display on them names of associations, and make sure your message remains focused on the animals.
Looking forward to seeing you in Lyon, Milan or Prague on 16 May, marching for the animals.
