I'm sick of the abundance of ads on TV for meat, leather sofas and dairy products being promoted as 'healthy' Its all getting me upset and wound up, so much so that for the past few days I've been leaving off the TV a lot of the time. I remember discussing this on The Vegan Forum over a year ago and someone posted a link to some device that would stop me having to see these disgusting ads. I didn't read it properly at the time but now I'd really like to buy one but I can't find the thread anymore. Does anyone know what I'm talking about?

Sorry I don't know the device you're referring to but maybe you could try recording everything you want to watch and fast forward past the adverts.
I know what you mean about the adverts - it's like there's a conspiracy against the truth

it's like there's a conspiracy against the truth Exactly! This morning there was a discussion about global warming. They'd made a large footprint shaped chart showing the various causes of global warming and I was furious to see that meat and dairy farming was not even featured on the chart. Its been proven recently that this causes as much if not more global warming than all the cars in the world!

That's one of my gripes as well. Recycling newspaper and bottles while gorging on flesh is like shutting the stable door after the horse has bolted

Same here. I also find those ads very annoying and also that the farming is not mentioned in the causes of global warning. I also find it hard to talk about it to non-vegans, because you just can tell by their faces that they shut themselves off and do not really listen once you bring it up (or veganism in general).
