I've been vegan for 5 years, but over the last couple of years I've noticed a bit of brown pigmentation appear on my face - mostly my forehead and a small bit on my cheeks. I was wondering if any other vegans had any pigmentation. I'm wondering if it is anything to do with being a vegan - maybe eating too much soya, or some deficiency. I know a fellow vegan who also has some brown pigmentation on her face, so wondering if others have noticed or got any, also - and any suggestions on combating it.

I've never heard of a link between veganism and pigmentation before.

I actually did a search online for brown pigmentation and it brought up on a page that a lack of either vitamin B2 or B3 can cause brown pigmentation. I think I'm gonna try taking a multivitamin a bit more regularly (usually only have one when I'm feeling a bit ill). I do have bad eating habits (ie. lots of crisps and vegan junk food) so it probably is to do with a lack of a specific vitamin. Actually, looking at the Vegan Society multivitamins they don't include vitamin B3/niacin, so maybe I should buy some B3 separately, to see if that does the trick...
