I just got a new car stereo that will play MP3s from usb sticks and sd cards.
So I was thinking I'd like to listen to some podcasts on the way to and from work.
Anyone know any great ones? I've listened to some veganradio casts but they are a bit too US oriented, same with vegan.com ones. Any good British ones out there?

Podcasts are essentially just .mp3 downloads with fancy integration for your player (iPod) which tells you when a new one is available etcetera. No big deal. Just an excuse to invent a new mystifying name..

Yeah, that's the thing. I suppose a podcast is a handy shorthand way of saying an episodically released mp3 recording of a talkshow.
Anyhow. I'm quite addicted to the veganradio podcasts, and I'm working my way through their old shows. Very listenable.
I had a listen to veganfreaks but I wasn't as taken by them.
I reckon there is a definite gap in the market for a UK vegan/ar podcast, though.

I've contemplated doing one for VegansRock because it's about time i made it into a real website instead of just a forum. However, i have yet to obtain a functioning microphone, I don;t have excess quantities of webspace, and they would have to either be very short or very low quality because i can;t get broadband where I live.
Considering how woefully unpopular vegansrock is though, i am having motivation issues with even making one, since I remain unconvinced that anyone really cares what i have to say about veganism, and there are so many other podcasts around already, albeit non-uk ones.
It is possible that my boyfriend and i might make one eventually, next time i visit him, if i put the idea to him though.
My boyfriend and I find the Veganfreaks to be tedious, but most people yum them up.

Haven't got a clue how to do Podcasts so erm will leave that to the technical minded. BTW a little plug from me, as Astro's forum is now back and running to go and have a look over there. It's www.vegansrock.co.uk
