Can anyone recommend any vegan cosmetic brands that they have found to 'perform' well. Hard to make the switch I know from high street products but just wondered what your thoughts were. Have been impressed with the lavera range though, particularly the mascara.

I like Beauty Without Cruelty, and B Never to Busy to be Beautiful. The latter's mascara is particularly good, and they have a huge range of eyeshadows and lippys.

I love the Witch concealer sticks they are vegan plus you can buy them in a variety of shops. I get mine in Tesco. They also do other face products like wipes and toners etc.

I can't recommend b never to busy .....'s range enough. I have fallen in love with their cream eyeshadows, which don't crease or budge all day - they are fab.
Mineral make up is a good choice as well for vegans, just watch for carmine in some blushers / eyeshadows! I love lily lolo's foundation.

Where can you buy Mineral make up and lily lolo's foundation Sal?............they sound good! www.lilylolo.co.ukThere's loads of mineral make up brands - if you google search mineral make up it will bring up loads. I've only tried a couple of UK brands and Lily Lolo are my favourite. It's not as chalky as some brands and I've found my perfect colour match too But if you don't mind a bit of a wait, Meow cosmetics in the US are great - loads of choice and you are very likely to find a good match for your skin tone as their choice is HUGE! The good thing about mineral brands is they usually do samples so you can order loads of samples until you find the right shade!

Can anyone recommend any vegan cosmetic brands that they have found to 'perform' well. For staying power, Urban Decay wins hands down IMO. Check out which of their products are vegan at www.urbandecay.com (the ones marked with a pawprint) then buy cheaply from ebay Re Lavera, their foundations are lovely but I'm not impressed with their eyeshadow. It all disappeared but for a thick line in my eyelid crease.

I tried inika's mascara. It's good! the only downside is that it took the better part of a month to arrive!!

Ruby Red do some amazing bath and body care products that are all ethically sourced and organic as well as being vegan friendly! (only the lemon shea butter is not Vegan friendly as it contains honey) they have such great products look at thier website: www.rubyredcosmetics.com

But look at the price!
Way overpriced, whether organic or not!

GOSH cosmetics, which are in a lot of Superdrugs do a lot of vegan stuff in their range, including one vegan mascara (looooong mascara) which is awesome. Although I haven't only ever found that mascara once - at the airport in Cyprus!! Their eyeliners are vegan too.
