Hi Chenli
Great to see you here, that's a brill job to go for being an RSPCA Inspector.... Good luck, I'm sure you'll succeed.
That's really sweet about the 3 cats adopting you. They must communicate between them and say there's a loving friendly person at your house and the news gets round the cat neighbourhood. If you like, we have a piccie thread, would love to see pictures.
Anyway, have fun in this mad place......... we're all mad and friendly here!
Look forward to seeing you posting.

Thanks I only have one picture of kitty atm. But I recently took some pictures of the cats with the rest of the camera film which was used on holiday, so once they're developed I'll scan them in.

Hello, Chenli.
I hope you manage to become an Inspector. It would seem that there aren't enough of them - judging by the rising tide of cruelty. As is suggested by your cat friends not being fed.
Good luck.
Regards,
Martin.
P.S. Fuzzy (that's him on the left) sends his best wishes. He says that anyone who helps cats is a friend of his.

Slight memory problem. Fuzzy is not on the left. He will be soon-ish, though. I hope.

I can't put the picture of Fuzzy as an aviator. I can post it, as you can see, but the 'ave a tab one doesn't work.

Yep, it's just getting into it. I think only about 23 people get in every year.

I'm sure you'll be one of the 23 Chenli.
Gliondrach......... about poor Fuzzy the bear, not being able to find his avatar box........ A few people have had the same question, so have copied and pasted an old post I made on the subject.
If you still have probs.......... Then holler out my name, and I'll try and get Fuzzy to his rightful spot here on the forum!
OK, for those of you that want to upload piccies of your own, I've found "PHOTOBUCKET" is pretty easy to use, as that's how I managed to get Gizmo to have her own avatar.
Step 1: Create an account with Photobucket..... free and only takes a couple of mins, then log in.
Step 2: On image, click browse, this will take you through to your "My pictures" section on your PC, chose a pic, then press submit. It will then take you to a page with your chosen pic(s) with below some codes in boxes for URLS, TAG OR IMG.
FOR AVATARS ONLY:
Copy and paste the URL link in your "Modify Profile" screen where it asks for the "avatar url" and click "Modify Profile" when done. This should do automatically do it for you. If you find your pic is a bit squashed after resizing it, in your "Modify Profile" screen you can specify and juggle around the height and width. Automatic setting is 65 x 65, but that would be trial and error on your part! I put Tigger up to 100 x 100.
OK, Easy enough?! Nooooo, says everyone shaking their heads.
FOR PICTURES ONLY:
Follow steps 1 and 2 then on the screen below the pic where underneath it says URL, TAG AND IMG, click the IMG and copy the link, then paste it on the message you are typing on the forum.
It will look like a load of words when typing, but when submitted, the picture will show.
Any probs with this, let me know, and I'll try to help you out, so there's no excuses now for not putting piccies up now

I hope so...heh. The training course sounds tough though. I think you have to do absailing and white water rafting and stuff.

Chenli, are you sure that's not the SAS you're talking about?

Tiggs, I'll give that a try later, after I've had some kip. I must also check with Fuzzy in case he doesn't want his picture sent to photobuckle. He is involved in rather hush-hush work for the government but usually wears a disguise.

Chenli, are you sure that's not the SAS you're talking about? It sounds like that! On the subject of the RSPCA, did anyone watch that series recently on the trainee RSPCA inspectors?

Possitive it's RSPCA Inspector...there was a program on tv about it ages ago. And I'm sure there's details on a website somewhere.

sound like a cool job
there are a few tricks for absailing etc that make it easier
when absailing the rope passes through the figure of 8 descender then drops to the floor if you hold the rope below the figure 8 and not the rope above it and lean back in the harness this will stabilise you descent and make life much easier when locking off (stopping in mid air) hold the rope and jam it below your thigh, hold it as low down as you can , it makes it easier to hold your body weight....
the trick to white water rafting sit at the back of the boat (you dont get a wet) and jam your feet into the floor and keep you feet as far apart as possible your stability is judged by the position of your feet... you dont want to be the one who leaves the boat early.....trust me lol
