In the Garden They are all beautiful, vaiovegan, and I especially like bees, but this one is amazing. I feel like the snail is actually looking at me. He looks kinda pouty, too.

Should have said earlier, excellent macro photography going on ;D I've just ordered a macro lens, waiting for it to be delivered.
And lookin through the pooch shots again, the composition of number 3 is just brilliant, profile of one in the foreground and the one in the background looking straight at the camera. Cool.
Where's the church Vai?

Ooh - that's spooky. It's like a Dracula's eye view of Van Helsing shoving a cross in his face!

Interesting picture. Do you have a larger one of this? It would be interesting to see the text in the background. I would love to have focused on the text with the gold cross as it is and then focus on the cross to see what worked in this situation. I haven't been taking phots long but my daughter has a good eye for it. She is sorting out some art for me to show on the site but at the moment she is doing exams so has locked herself away with books etc.

Where's the church Vai? Macro I had all my lens stolen a few weeks ago. One was a Canon EF 100mm f-2.8 Macro USM Lens The church is one of our local churches. I haven't had chance to visit the local cathedral yet. Animals are hard to photo, puppies want to like the lens all the time. All these picture are take with a standard Canon 18-55 mm lens until the insurance pays out.

Do you shoot in RAW? If you do you might be able to shoot in low enough ISO to avoid noise and bring up the exposure in the software.
I suppose the only other solution is a lens with a big aperture but that = expensive!

I suppose the only other solution is a lens with a big aperture but that = expensive! No I haven't tryed to shoot in RAW but I am going to give it a go. I will show you the results. Focus on the drops is also a problem as well. I tryed to focus on an object like a pen top in the path of the water then take it away. I am still playing, but many thousands of pictures later not got the shot I want. That tap must be the most photographed tap in the world and next door try not to look at me when they are in the garden. They already think I am a nutjob. They day they moved in the police smashed my door in Still, I turned his mrs vegan after a week. She is a large lady and she mentioned she was on a diet. I have cooked them some vegan food and they loved it. I slipped in that our lass still eats all she want but the weight gropped off. That was it. She went vegan and has stuck to it so far ;0

Yes, I have a 2048*1536 version of the said pic, but here is the text instead (it is in Romanian, anyhow ) usera.imagecave.com/Sophia_Weiss/moze/IMG_1272.JPGI would have loved to stay more and experiment, but unfortunately taking pictures there was prohibited - I'm lucky I got away with that one! ;D

Do you know what the text says?

To be honest I don't really know why that particular church prohibited the taking of photos, as most churches allow it. The text is a fragment of the poem "A Dacian's Prayer" by national poet Mihai Eminescu.
