OK, to start the first poll of this forum the question is vaccinations for kids and pets. Have you or would you, have you in the past but wouldn't now etc etc. Also some input in replies would be interesting as to why you choose whether or not vaccinations are a good idea, so write away here!

I received the ususal shots at birth, as far as I know, but my parents didn't vaccinate us after that. They lead to so many chronic problems that otherwise healthy children would not have, like asthma, allergies, attention defict or whatever they are drugging kids for nowadays. I did get chickenpox when I was little, but I survived! The only benefits I see coming from vaccinations are the profits made off the vaccines themselves and the profits made off of all the drugs they want you to take for all the diseases you wouldn't have if you hadn't been vaccinated. The same goes double for animals. Rabies vaccines increase aggression in breeds not known for it like goldens and labs, and most people in the US do not allow their animals unsupervised access to wilderness areas where they might come in contact with wild rabid animals, so it is largely unnecessary to require annual boosters. One is enough, if even that.

I completely agree with you Fauxmage, I had my basic vaccinations as a child, but from knowing now the horrific ingredients that are put in them, including heavy metals which can cause cancer I definitely wouldn't consider them now. I also know that the flu jab contains egg for some strange reason, and the thing with alot of vaccinations is that they are often useless by the time they are brought out as the strain of the virus/disease has completely changed, rendering the vaccinations useless.
I have stopped vaccinating my pets since finding out this vaccination and also since not one, but two of my cats had such a severe reaction to their boosters that was pretty frightening. I have done some reading up on the subject and alot of vets prey on the fear of the pets owners and its scientifically proven that a vaccination will last at least 5 years anyway, instead of them saying you need an annual booster each year.
I have looked into homeopathic vaccinations called no-sodes which were used for humans and animals before vaccinations became mainstream and will be using them in future for my animals.
