The Warehouse cafe in Birmingham is planning a 2nd theme evening, If anyones interested?
Here are the details:
16 August, 7.30 p.m. : Spicing it up; David cooks up a Mexican feast …
* Mexican night is here at last. David, will be drawing on his North American roots to provide us with a Mexican feast to remember. Join us or fajitas, tortillas, refritos, salsa verde and other Mexican favourites. Only £16.50 for 3 courses, tea, coffee and mints.

Now as this is the evening before I go to London for 3 nights for the Vegan Festival I doubt Il get there (but you never know!)
If anyone wants to start a table/list/make a booking feel free!

Im not going to this as going to London the next day but heres the menu if anyones interested
** 16 August: Mexican feast. 7.30p.m.
The starters and main course are served ‘family style’, each table is given a selection of all items on the menu so that you can try a bit of everything.
Starters:
Nachos con frijoles refritos, house made refried beans, tomatoes, lettuce, cheese, jalapenos
Quesadillas, avocado, tomato, roasted chilli, refried beans, cheese
Empanadas, black beans, mangos, corn, in pastry parcel
Flautas (flute in Spanish), crispy rolled corn tortilla, vegetables
Gordas, potato and chilli fritters
Trio of salsas: guacamole, pico de gallo (fresh tomato salsa) salsa picante (hot sauce)
Main courses
Bean and rice burrito, pinto beans and brown rice in flour tortilla
Enchilades rojas, vegetables, tortilla, red sauce baked in the oven
Chilli relleno, stuffed and roasted poblano chilli
All served with arroz verde (green rice) and black bean chilli
Desserts
Flan de huevo, Mexican style egg flan; or
Aztec oranges, ‘drunken’ oranges in tequila and orange liquor
