Week of Action to mark the 12th anniversary of Jill Phipps’ death. February 1st through to February 9th 2007
This year we are calling for a week of action starting from Jill’s anniversary,Thursday Feb 1st, through to Feb 9th which is the anniversary of Mike Hill, a hunt sab who was killed in 1991.
The theme of the week is a simple one – action, in its broadest sense - a stall, a hunt sab, a school talk, a days work at at an animal rescue centre. Just please simply do SOMETHING in memory of Jill, Mike and the animals they fought to protect – what could be simpler and more effective than that.

Was awful the way she died.
Really felt so sorry for her mum when she was interviewed in Behind The Mask.

A Memorial Day for Jill Phipps, Dover Sat 3 February (We need to know soon if you are interested in transport from London for this event so we can organise the necessary sized bus)
A Memorial Day for Jill Phipps
Dover, Kent.
Saturday 3rd February 2007.
Meet by midday at the seafront shelter.
( Usual place, near the toilets just along the seafront from the Eastern Docks.)
There will be speeches followed by a march through Dover town centre in memory of Jill and to serve as a reminder that live animal exports are still happening and that this cruel, barbaric trade must end. We will be stating our opinion en-route to DHB who facilitate the exporters. Leaflets can be handed out throughout the day. The march will end at the seafront where flowers and tributes to Jill can be tied or placed against the railings. This is where the Jubilee Way joins the roundabout at the entrance to the Eastern Docks. 99% of the thousands of animals exported pass this point . Many will have already travelled hundreds of miles and already crossed the Irish Sea before arriving in Dover, with their final destination as far away as Russia and Italy.
