just had this e:mail from Animal Aid :
October 6th – 13th is Seafood Week. During this week the fishing industry and those who profit from the consumption of fish flesh and by-products will be promoting it as a healthy food product. In opposition, Animal Aid will be encouraging people to go veggie, while additionally highlighting the welfare, health and environmental problems associated with the fishing industry. This is set out in our special report, ‘The Fishing Industry, The greatest welfare scandal of our time? (http://www.animalaid.org.uk/veggie/fish.htm). We will also be out on the street promoting veggie fish fingers to members of the public. We hope this will attract media attention as well as raise awareness of vegetarian alternatives to fish.
We need your help to promote the Go Veggie message on the street and inform people that fish aren’t vegetables!
