Only a month away, but worthwhile event. Will try and get down there myself, day off from work permitting.
Saturday 6th May 2006, 11am March and Rally to Stop Live Animal Exports
After a 10 year hiatus, and despite huge public opposition, Britain's unwanted male dairy calves will once again be shipped long distances to suffer in Continental veal crates. We must act NOW to stop it.
Farmers have lobbied the Government relentlessly for the resumption of calf exports. We need to show politicians that most people are appalled at this trade and want it banned. Please join the demonstration in Dover and help send a strong message to the Government.
Date: 6th May 2006 Meet: Dover seafront, near the bus shelter/toilets Time: Assemble at 11am, speakers at 12 noon and a march at 1pm
