Got this lovely lil email from Dermalogica and thought I'd share for anyone interested in their products
If you get the face mapping thingy done on their site they'll send you out free sample products to try for your skin type
Thank you for your enquiry and interest in the Dermalogica product line.
Dermalogica has never used any animal derived ingredients within our products, however there are some products that a vegan may choose to avoid. Skin Smoothing Cream contains a small percentage of egg oil, which acts as an emollient in the formula. Gentle Soothing Booster and Intensive Moisture Masque contain honey and Essential Cleansing Solution contains beeswax. As Dermalogica is researched and developed by the International Dermal Institute, research for new advances in technology are ongoing. As of yet, we have not found suitable replacement ingredients which do not alter the texture or efficiency of the products.
As on the website, Dermalogica has never been tested on animals. At one point we did use this as part of our advertising, however we see that it is an expected policy for any reputable company and as such feel that our integrity would come into question if we were to employ such practices.
We are registered with PETA (People for Ethical Treatment of Animals), NAVS (National Anti-Vivisection Society) & most importantly CSCA (Corporate Standard of Compassion for Animals). As the CSCA is a coalition, once a company is registered them they are most likely covered by every society. As such, Dermalogica has full permission to label our product cruelty free but we simply do not have the space on the packaging.
We hope you enjoy exploring Dermalogica's extensive range of products.
