Does anyone know of a Vegan Mascara? Last time I was in Fresh and Wild every mascara they had contained bees wax, there was one brand they had ran out of may be Vegan but they could not tell me either way.
I do like a bit of mascara for my blonde eyelashes

Barry M do a mascara that i believe is vegan (would not want to say for def without checking the beeswax situation first) 20% off at Superdrug (not the best place to shop) Beauty without cruelty is the one ive got at the mo, use to use Clarins when i was veggie but think that has beeswax in. Urban Decay is a good range - a lot is vegan but again not sure about the mascara? Alison

Is it just me or is there anyone else who thinks Beauty Without Cruelty make up is a bit naff? Their mascara was ok at first but the brush snapped after about 3 weeks. Their lipsticks are too dry and eyeliner just like a pencil crayon ie to hard to use. I like Lavera cosmetics and they sell them at Unicorn, my local vegan grocery store.

sorry Vix I forgot to answer.. Barry M say ... All of our products are suitable for vegetarians but some contain animal by-products (like Beeswax) making them unsuitable for Vegans. Ranges of products not suitable for Vegans are Foundation Creme, Shimmering Body Creme, Translucent Compact (loose powder format is fine), Natural Dazzle compact (loose powder format is fine) , Shimmering Eye and Lip Crayon, Lip paint, Lip Gloss and Mascara. Trend mascara... www.vegetarian.org.uk/shop/toiletries.shtml

Thats a shame about barry m mascara - i nearly brought one so glad i didnt! My health shop told me the lipgloss was vegan from a Barry M list I do wish companies would in the ideal world all be vegan, but really it would be good if they put a list of what was ok or not! My friend has given me a book with all clarins products in and the ingredients lists - not managed to plod thru it as yet! I agree BWC isnt as good as it use to be - foundation sample i tried was naff, mum has the lipsticks and hates the new ones. I managed to get some pressed powder off a market stall, old ones but seem fine. I had some eyeshadows last christmas which are terrible. Will be trawling the London vegan fair for new make up! Hey thx to everyone who replied I will try the Animal Aid Mascara, next question, does anyone know of a Vegan mascara remover?
Are you all aware that 'Original Source' is Vegan?

Yes, but it's parent company tests on animals.
I use Faith in Nature shampoo, shower gel and liquid soap. I use JASON deodorant. Not tried the JASON shower gels and shampoos, but I would expect them to be good.
In answer to your question, would co-op baby wipes do the trick? They are vegan, and bio-degradable.
edit - oops that's the second time I answered the original source question.

Ive used co op baby wipes! they do remove mascara but its not an easy task! That cheap place called body something on a lot of high streets - cut price toilitries sell 'witch' range which says not tested on animals - my friend says they are vegan? they sell face wash and face wipes. Friend gave me some clarins eyemake up remover a free sample - they dont test but not all are vegan? will find out. Ive also got the love the planet lavender cleanser which is good. I did consider getting my eyelashes tinted to save using mascara but it uses bleach which has no doubt been tested so wont do that! The animal aid range might do make up remover? This dolma one looks good: www.honestycosmetics.co.uk/Make%20up%20removal%20beauty%20without%20cruelty.shtmlAlison

For years and years I have never bought a eye makeup remover , I use babyoil , It removes mascara and eyeliner really really well. A drag artist recommended it to me and Ive never used anything else since.
