Isn't that a type of leather though, not suede?

i have been really interested in reading this post. I am turning vegan as we speak but sitting on a leather sofa, it was second hand and its very old but i cant afford to replace it, for at least a few years (feeling very guilty)
Whats everyones opinion on fake fur/leather? is it ok to wear somthing that looks the same as dead animals, isnt that buying into the same idea as real fur??

I'm ok with fakes.
I understand about the sofa thing. I've been out looking for one for my new place this past weekend and there's just so many leather ones but hardly any decent fabric ones.

I have a fake leather bed and puff so it doesnt bother me a great deal. i do get a little disturbed buy all faux fur coats.

I have a fake suede coat and I very rarely wear it anymore in case anyone thinks its real. Its so realistic it freaks me out sometimes. I wouldnt get fake leather furniture and I dont think I would want fake looking fur anymore, although I have had things like that in the past. I just dont like the look of it anymore. Each to their own. Mind you Im covered in cat fur at the moment so am wearing a real cat fur hoody
